I'm reading the Stormlight Archive book series by Brandon Sanderson.

Comic wise, the Low hardback by Rick Remender (Image).

Oh I see what's going on. DCBS is selling the regular TPB #4 for $9, as well as a new EoW "The Apocolypse: Year One HC" which collects all 4 of the TPBs or issues 1-15 for $25 regular or $50 variant.

I'm going to pick up the regular TPB #4 since I have the first three TPBs, but if I didn't have these I probably would swing for one of the year one HCs.

After becoming a die hard Wiebe fan with Peter Panzerfaust, I signed up for a Universal 9.8 of #1A and #1B upon release and paid about $120 for the set.

Popularity was on the rise and when I saw what they were going for, I ended up letting the set go for double my money.

I just won a Staples double SS 9.8 for $112

It's got Wiebe and Roc... wish it was Wiebe and Staples!

I picked up the ECCC Exclusive Hardcover too and have read the first two issues so far.

I am enjoying the story and the colors, but I do have to study the art sometimes, which can be fun. I read through a page and then study it for awhile.

I sent a best offer on a Low #1 SDCC Variant in the United Kingdom and he accepted it. I was interested to see what condition it would arrive in, and he actually put it in a fancy sleeve, ice cream sandwiched it, bubble wrapped it, bomb proofed it, so it arrived in NM+. I will probably send it in with my next sub!

Looking forward to reading the rest of the HC.

I picked up a Maxx 1/2 Gold in the blue portfolio they came in off of ebay.

When it arrived, it was a little dusty and I practically had to use a blow torch and chainsaw to get the book out...

Came back Universal 9.8 =D

Gosh, I think it's awesome and rare, but if I'm tossing around $3-4K, I would probably put it in a TMNT #1 first print, or a high grade GSXM or something.

I recently purchased a Manifest Destiny #1 LBCC Sketch in CGC 9.8 from Kapzilla.

He offered me a more than fair price, packaged it extremely well, and shipped turbo quick. He even included a NM+ first issue from Valiant, which is always fun to get a surprise!

Thanks goes to IntoAnother and Joey Gunz for the heads up that the lost #1 SS 9.8 I had sold to Joe appeared on ebay this morning.

Long story shortish: I bought it from JJeanius, and sold it to Joe, shipped via UPS, who lost it. It made its way to UPS Overgoods (Lost and Found) in Salt Lake City. Against their standard policy is was sold to a third party salvage company that buys lost/damaged packages, and then resold to the person who has it on ebay, all in less than 3 weeks. I contacted the ebay seller and he has been great and is going to end the auction and return it for a refund to the salvage company who will return it to me. This is great because UPS was going to deny my claim because the driver never scanned the package upon pickup.

Package shipped, lost, sent to overgoods, sold as salvage, resold, all in less than 3 weeks while doing 3 days overgoods search for it. Beware.

Sidebar: Joey already picked up another #1 at this point, so if I get it back next week................. keep it?

That's a nice looking 8.5, white pages too... I would have to consider swiping the old paypal credit card if offered for 3K.

Now that I've caught up with East of West, I need to pick up these TPBs.

I'm letting my #1 9.8 go for now if anyone is in the market for one.
