we know comics were sold out of the place where he moved all the customers books into...but I want to confirm that included client books 100%

I would like to think that despite all of his bad decisions he knew not to cross that line.

However he did have a theft loss before right? Didn't someone say a book they never actually sent was on the insurance claim? Im sure it was a mistake and removed from the claim after discovering it….right?

I thought someone mentioned he may have over a million dollars in stolen goods at this point.  I would venture to guess that's a pretty high enough level of crime to have a judge sign off on a search warrant, if that's an accurate figure and documentation can be provided to the court? hm

That’s the thing. Getting enough documentation and people willing to move forward. Even then, the Police/Courts will have to agree it’s worth pursuing criminally and not just say, “It’s a civil matter, you can take him to court.”

I haven't read this entire thread and don't know if this has been suggested already, but how about finding his home address and someone going in person with law enforcement to reclaim all the stolen property.  If he refuses to answer his door, obtain a search warrant to recover the stolen goods in his possession/property and put an end to this fiasco...

Just saw your comment Mr. Zipper and looks like we are thinking alike (thumbsu

I believe a search warrant with law enforcement involved would be a solution that does not involve Mike's assistance or approval...

The Police are not going to do a search warrant unless they agree it’s a high enough level crime and go looking for evidence.  You can’t just ask them to do one. A Judge would also have to sign off on it.

One thing I found was that most moving companies subcontract out their work, no matter what they say.  I won't say they are all crooks, but the moving industry is full of thieves.

Some will also show up with a bill not agreed to or a problem and if you don’t pay them they won’t let you get your stuff. They know they have the person over a barrel in that situation. Thats why I just used the pods. It may cost more but less hassle.

I wonder if the thread title ought to be changed so it's more of a "catch-all" for the broader subject(s) of book safety, insurance, theft, etc. Not sure what that title would be.

Agreed. Something like, “Book Safety: safes, storage units, insurance, and other tips.”

We should link the dangers of a gun safe thread in here. I had a few in one and thankfully I saw the thread and got them out before any visible damage occurred.

Page three and no mention of Spider-Boy? He's new but man, do I hate him already. Here he is on his first ever cover kicking a bird.

The fact that "it's too far for people to scroll" is really a reach and frankly, pretty ridiculous reasoning.

It’s not that it’s too far to scroll exactly, just hard to find and not accessible to visitors.  I even had a long time member type me because he couldn’t find it.
