But to build on this great discussion in the spirit of cooperation, may I suggest we use this to safely deliver comics between departments?

That’s not his intended design purpose though.

I got lost in this thread a while back so I may have missed the key points. Is it your opinion that we don’t have the tech, either by hardware or software to do it, or it’s just not cost effective?

CAHokie addressed cost issues with his experience in the parent industry

I did? Now I’m lost…. All I said is that there are programs and equipment made to capture hundreds of images and splice them together into a final product.  In the dental example, it is capable of making a perfect mold that fit around teeth perfectly for that person. That is impressive. Scanning a comic book seems less impressive but that’s just an opinion.

  3. I still don’t see it being that far fetched.

Dental offices can now use a small camera that can take hundreds of pictures and make a perfect mold by splicing the photos together. (At least that’s how I understood it. Dentists can weigh in).  It is not an x-ray and prevents having to do that gel mold.

I could envision cameras doing the same thing as the pages are turned. It can then be analyzed and details listed. I don’t really see it an issue of could they do it, but more of would they want to.

Edited for CAHokie, in the spirit of Boxing Day.

What does that even mean? You don’t need to edit it for my sake, I just thought it looked ridiculous.

Generally, if I think someone is a nut or has issues, I don’t spend message after message engaging them and letting them know they are a nut. I just let them go to their happy place and ramble to themselves.

A thread belongs to the community, so quit being your usual overbearing self and dictating the flow of conversation under the auspices of 'it's my toy waaah'.

Grow up and lose your ego. It's not endearing.

I think he was parroting a comment aimed at him before but otherwise, yes, the community and moderators decide.

Can you guys not go at each other even on Christmas? The stuff written different places from both sides are ridiculous. Aren’t all of you over 55 already?  Why not just block him and enjoy the peace? (shrug)

I find it funny that he claimed he couldn't work long hours on the restoration/pressing business due to his heart condition, but he was perfectly willing to get drunk. No chance of alcohol triggering another heart attack, right??

Right? Packaging up books is too much work and expense but opening up a new business and setting it up is (thumbsu

I'll remind people that Gollum was once a valued member of his community.

As there appear to be expensive books in his possession for ten years, that he was soliciting work until recently, and his criminal record, how much more rope do we need to give him?

I will never understand the 10 year thing. It’s not like he was growing and raising a new Flash like it was a Baby Groot.

While it missed the mark bigly even with two mini-series attempts, how can we forget The Stand. King's longest written work.

I actually enjoyed the original mini-series. It had a great cast. I rewatch it every few years.

You can’t go wrong with a rewatch of Christine, Shawshank, or Carrie.
