For some reason this bugs me, I'm fine with him having some flesh, but to tango with the Hulk he needs to be far thicker than that. He's got too much flesh, IMO. It does track with that time Wolverine messed up his face though, and it revealed raw tissue underneath which scarred from a single swipe of Logan's claws.

What do you think of this cut-out from the official Marvel Anatomy book?

Rock.  He's a rock man...ALL rock, ALL the time.  A ton of rock. No more, no less. Not cartilage, not bone, but only rock.

By my analysis, this particularly popular YouTuber is anti-woke and anti-gender swapping of heroes. You get that in his indictment of Captain Marvel. When he criticizes Eternals, his first critique is "It's woke!" and that he didn't want to see a particular scene (two men kissing) because that's not his lifestyle. He ravages She-Hulk for its ravaging of anti-wokeness. The two big takeaways from his "breakdown" of Wakanda Forever, besides he was bored at times, was that Marvel should have recast T'Challa (or not given the mantle to a woman) and  that they should have kept Namor's origins the same as the comics, as in, not swapped for one of Mexican descent. He seems to approach these Marvel Phase Four movies/series from a typical anti-woke point of view.

As for being bored, he said the same of Dune. It seems if he watches any big budget fantasy action movie that dares to be about something other than good guys beating up bad guys with lots of special effects, he starts to check out. I think subtlety and nuance is lost on this guy.

    That's my take.

Ahh........, so why I noticed is I try to look up the grader's notes on CGC books before I buy them.

However, to date, I've not had good results with this, as there seem to be a lot of books that are trashed in encapsulation or shipping after the graders are done with them.

Also, so many books I try to look up have the notation "no grader's notes available"

Yea this has been my experience as well when I try the same....once in a great while it would point out something obvious that just didn't show up well in the pics, but mostly a futile exercise.

I asked an eBay seller why he has CGC verification numbers covered up with tape.

    This was the response:

Hello, we happen to live 1 mile from CGC headquarters. Word spreads quickly here. The word is that CGC will be making comic owners information public. So with just the CGC number, I will be able to go on their site and see who the owner of the comic is. Personally, I don't want anybody knowing some of the comics I have. It invites all sorts of issues, not to mention that it borders on being an invasion of privacy.
With the number being covered, whomever the purchaser is can rest assured that nobody outside this circle will ever know that he/she owns it.

    Regards

My instinct (pessimist, here lol) would be they do it in the hopes they can always claim it's not the same book they sold if something is up with it.  They more than likely wouldn't realize how easy it can be to id a book's defects, wrap, etc. if it's not NM modern.  DISCLAIMER - Obviously I may (likely) not know what I'm talking about!

I recently read an article (can't find it now) lamenting the striking increase in the amount of graduate research publications in social sciences that are basically just the author writing about how they feel about a topic and their own personal subjective experiences... and that is being passed off as "research" and actually being published as scholarly research.

That "research" in social sciences is rapidly devolving to become self-centered "reflections" rather than objective inquiry.

    Gotta love this generation! xD

    Speaking THEIR truth, bruh!

Just please don't hate it because they cast some black people or because you think they are pushing some ludicrous "girl power" agenda.

If you are doing that, then it really is your problem, not theirs.

I didn't see any of that in the thread...did I miss a page?

    Edit - I guess I did
