  1. Thank you! I'm very pleased with it! I would think it would grade VF. As for restored Vs Unrestored: There is evidence of a spot of glue sealing a bindery tear and a 1/2" tear seal to one page of the centerfold. That's it. As far as I'm concerned, it's Preservation rather than Restoration: A bindery tear is acceptable, so why fix it unless to protect it from further damage. The seal of a tear to the centerfold also does not do anything to improve the look of the book, but it too would keep further damage from occuring. If it were CGC'd,.... Any chance you might have the glue sealing professionally removed? Should still garner a high grade and probably increase its value dramatically. Very nice.
  2. Fuel Dude that book freakin rocks. Tell us about the grade, restored or unrestored?
  3. That is probably the best Japanese/Godzilla style movies that I have ever seen. Great battle scenes.
  4. Burnt, Did it get big press down south? It was in my neighbouring province but it got a tremendous amount of press locally as you would imagine. Don't know why but I figure this kind of unfortunate event is much more commonplace in the States?
  5. Is there a link you can point me to about resubmitting ? Does this mean you crack it ? I would be pretty darn worried about doing that... Just read through the FAQ's on the main web page. I think you can have this "reholder" in a new case. You can send it in as is and they will crack, regrade it and slabb it a new. I'm not sure how they do this but I suspect that the book gets cracked by the quality control people before it gets sent to the graders. Personally I would crack it myself and send it in for regular grading just to eliminate any bias that may occur if/when they see the old label.
  6. Another old label resub candidate. A 9.6 unless there is somethig we are missing.
  7. The wrap on this book is almost identical to Metro's. Anyways your upgarde is fantastic and I likely will be cracking my slabb shortly.
  8. Kudos again to Arex Crooke for some nice Iron Man books.
  9. Hello. Your copy would probably be the highest one in the CGC census if graded, very very nice. I take it that is your copy on Metro's site?
  10. I recently debated whether or not I was going to crack this. I probably will in the near future. What grade would you say yours is and was it cracked from a shell?
  11. Nice book, probably a slightly better grade than mine. I have shown this many times before but allow me to do so one more time, after all it is one of my favorite covers.
  12. It's no longer Doug's it's mine, and I was only kidding about it being a 9.2. Nor am I kidding about this one. Now that is a beautiful book. What gaps if any do you have on your TTA run?
  13. Steve is this the same book for sale on Doug's site? Yours?
  14. Maybe we can get Arch to delete the previous threads so that we just have the listing on one page?
  15. Big for Doug at Pedigree Comics. Hooked me up with some nice Thor issues, always a pleasure to deal with.
  16. Jon, Where did you fnd that Subby #11? Super corners and rich cover gloss, my goodness.
  17. and if I said "Yes" to either or both questions .... Well post some scans man, share the wealth. If you haven't noticed I like just about anything that has to do with the Sub-Mariner. Recently picked up a copy of Avengers #3 and I just love it. I have a pretty decent copy of issue #33 which I feel is the best cover from the 1950's.
  18. Not sure if I brought this to anyone's attention before but who is going to buy this puppy, ONLY $1,000. It is a purdy book, real purdy and very rare I take it? I think Warehouse Auctions has had it for sale for some time now.
  19. Big for Arexcrooke for some nice books and some shipping help to the frozen north.
