Yeah, I just tend to think of prices in terms of how they relate to each other.
So if a 9.2 sells for $750k and a 3.0 sells for $156k, then in my mind at least one of the buyers should be upset, and maybe even both!   

The Kirby will not pass authentication. I don't know what the policy when one sig passes and one fails. You're likely best leaving it as-is.

On the flip side, most magazines on Clink went for peanuts tonight.

There were plenty of people looking for the 1st appearance of Gambit and anything Gambit + Rogue at the Calgary Expo. That was XMen 97 related demand.

A good press will definitely benefit this book. As stated, it is already a vibrant copy that just needs the proper TLC.

Indeed. Rich grew up in the town I live in. A couple years ago he was in town to reminisce. He asked me if he could come by. I was more than happy to have him come by. Like I have said, he and I were pretty much polar opposites collecting wise. But he loved all my early Disney toys. A few years earlier I had mentioned I had a 1941 Capt Marvel boxed puzzle but it had a couple pieces missing. As soon as he showed up, he pulled one out of a bag and gave it to me. I offered to buy it or trade him something for it but he wouldn’t hear of it. He just wanted me to have it. I still have it and when I see it, I think of him. A true collector and generous to a T. 

Rich had some awesome books. We shared an intense love of the Barks ducks and he was very generous in sharing parts of his collection with those he knew had the same level of appreciation for the medium. We got into a correspondence about my early days of buying ratty Four Colors from the The Buyer's Guide and I told him how one of the books I really wanted to upgrade was "No Such Varmint." One thing led to another and before you knew it we struck up a deal where I would trade my original copy and some cash for a nice copy Rich had available. When I opened the package I was really touched because not only had Rich sent the upgrade but he returned my original copy. Rich did this because he knew that each of my originally purchased duck books was special to me; despite their rough condition. He knew that feeling from his own collecting days and never lost it. Now I have two copies of that book with special meaning!!

I went for about 5 years in a row but it's been a couple since I was back.  Booth fees must have gone up and the smaller guys just were not showing up and there wasn't as much comics in the room as Baltimore or Heroes (and I only get 1 big travel con a year)

Two of the packages I'm having issues with were shipped to Portland...

We have a great post office here, but all mail is shipped to Portland, Oregon now for processing. So even mailing something within town can sometimes take 10 days.
I did a vacation mail hold, and slipped it in the slot on a Saturday, and it was shipped to Portland and never processed. I only found out because I came home mid-vacation for something else and was like WTF. Apparently, no one looked at it, just put it in the shipment to Portland. Now I make sure I personally hand these to someone at a window.
 

I wouldn't believe it if it didn't just happen to me, but guys, the big score still exists. Sorry for being verbose, it's all in excitement. If you don't want the saga, skip to the pictures.
My wife and I went to an antique/collectible show this morning. I found a few odds and ends, nothing comic related, a few original Wacky Packages/GPK packs and a hawaiian punch wrist watch. We decided to stop at our local flea market since it was on the way back, around 3 o'clock.
They do outdoor vending on good weather days, so you never know who will show up. Amongst the detritus and garbage of a panel truck full of junk, was a yellowed comic box on a table sporting no lid, about a third full, covered in all manner of odds and ends. All I could see from a distance was a 90s X Men comic with a lenticular cover through the handle hole. So curiosity piqued, I go over to look.
Most of the comics have fallen over so I stand them up to start flipping through and the first in the pile is New Mutants #87, I immediately jump! I keep flipping through and there's a lot of X Factor and X force with various other 90's X titles mixed in. Bagged, unbagged, no rhyme, reason or organization.
I make it probably 85% through the stack and WHAM I'm hit again, only this time harder. Deadpool, Domino, and Gideon staring me straight in the face, New Mutants #98. My wife, who's at the other end of the table, tells me to turn it around...a second copy is on the other side of the board...
All together 55 books, some small runs, but mostly random issues. I ask the man what he wants for them and he says, $1 a piece. So I give him $60, and tell him to keep the change. I'm not sure how the big comic vendor inside the flea market didn't get to them before I did, but today was my lucky day. Now on to the good stuff!
