  1. well i seen better 4.5´s ... in fact i have an old label 4.0 that looks much better
  2. I dont have a GPA subscription now so i cant see that trend , what i can see is that sellers at ebay where not selling their lower grade copies because they where asking to much , example $2200 BIN for a CGC 4.0 etc now they are listing the copies with auctions , lets see this auction how it ends CGC 4.5 auction
  3. prices on low grades are going down so i guess its a good time to buy if you still you dont have it
  4. Mijael, first, I thank you for stirring the pot on the SA forum. It's been a bit dull here lately. Second, I generally agree with you, but sometimes one can't be so sure that the first appearances of lesser known bad guys won't explode and hold value. Villains like Dr. Doom and Green Goblin stand the test of time and, as such, FF5 and ASM 14 are very collectible books that generally hold value and steadily grow. I don't think JIM 85, however, would have become such a collectible and valuable book if Tom Hiddleston hadn't absolutely hit it out of the park with his rendition of Loki and turned Loki into a globally-adored superstar bad guy. The movie helped him of course but its general culture that Loki is Thor´s enemy, i didn´t read comics on my childhood but i remember him from the cartoons. I agree that movies can help for example the way they presented Winter Soldier wich was unknow to me was impressive and makes me want to buy his 1st app Let´s see what happens with Zemo , he will be played by a great actor , people are paying now $60 - $65 for the Avengers 6 VG´s
  5. So what in your opinion would have made BB54 the definitive first appearance of the Teen Titans? Really this is about choices. And when the choice is about wherein lies the first appearance..... It may be best to start with the front cover. Ask yourself. Which of these two books has more in common with the first appearances of other classic teams throughout comic book literature? They look more like a powerful team in B&B # 60
  6. Hulk 180 is the first app . End of argument
  7. The 1st appearance of Magneto is definitely a book to get................as it features the 1st appearance of the X-Men as well. (thumbs u My point was that if you are chasing movie related 1st apps of villains or lesser characters the time to buy is well before the movie hype starts in earnest. The time to chase them is when a film is rumored/announced by the big two, not after it has been cast or is in production. Buy early and at low prices, flip at the peak, and even if you are stuck with a copy or two you will still be able to move them at a higher price than you accumulated them at. Agree, those are short time investments and you have to move them on time before its too late.
  8. All those overpriced "keys" with a villian appearing in the next movie are , because the villian isn´t really a well know character and he´s a gets killed on the movie . I remember people paying a lot of money for Sgt Fury 5 or avengers 55 if you like villians get well know villians Magneto, Loki , Dr Doom etc
  9. i dont understand the non paying bidder mentality ... when i win an auction i am so excited that i pay immediately to have my book the fastest as possible
  10. The first S.A Aqaman and Green Arrow is Adventure Comics 229 from 1956
  11. Yes i have a lot of my items with the auto reject function but serious buyers can think i am a difficult seller if they see my listings with a lot of offers that´s why the low ball offer buyers (non serious buyers) are bad for business and should be blocked
  12. This user: memorex987 goes to my blocked user list because he likes to trow less than 50% offers , kind of insulting and bad for business in my opinion.
  13. The condition of that book is unreal!!! those old DC are rare in grade and this is extra special for having the distinction of being published same time as SC 4, but also has side kick reboot, which many of us feel is significant signal that the silver age was being birthed. That is coming from a Marvel guy, who always had a weak spot for Aquaman thanks to the Saturday morning cartoons. One heckava book, my friend. Love the colors, love DC Silver, love Adventure Comics, love the book--no matter the grade. Thanks guys and my favourite part is the stamp of the back cover i just love those stamps!

  17. I just blocked this user because he sent me an offensive message "What the is your guys problem. A comic songs lay month for 4 dollars is not worth 300 today. Ate you guys smoking n crack" - canuck175
  18. Super cool. Were there Mexican reprints for all the Frazetta Famous Funnies covers? I also love the "ED" logo on this. Kind of like EC. I have seen it on some Mexican reprints. I dont know if all where reprinted, i seen others but at a very low grade. I got lucky with this one because this is the only copy i know and the grade is ok for me
  19. I once made a mistake here on the boards and the best way to resolve it , was to admit i was mistaken then do the right thing . So i sugest you do the same
