  1. True story. My wife rents what she thinks is a Barney or Free Willy movie for the kids to watch when they were little. The movie in the rental box was the Leprechaun. She walked out of the room and hears screams and kids running. Needless to say, the kids were scarred for life. I have always been of the opinion that any trial is worth enduring if u get a great story from the result. Had your wife just gotten Barney or the Teletubbies (tool of Satan) then u would not have this hilarious aside to your kids childhood! I give your wife a.... +1
  2. Funny...I PMed the same question.
  3. Wow. That is great. Ken any news about casting coming up. Pretty excited. Could we get Macaulay Culkin cast as Todd? He certainly needs the work and I don't know if you have seen him lately but somebody needs to put a f@$&ing bag over his head (forks to the eyes)! Funny...I just google searched Culkin and apparently he already does several voices on Adult Swim shows.

  5. Need a Todd fix. Getting two issues within a week of each other seemed great at the time!
  6. Does it mean that there is something wrong with me because this pic made me "pitch a tent"?
  7. I Luv the cover stock on these. Very different. Glad to see they looked good. My LCS still had plenty. I am pretty sure they only did the 200.
  8. Not my favorite comic but it is definitely the coolest most fun comic out IMNSHO.
  9. +1 The scope of this book is incredible. I like Todd just as much but it isn't fair to compare the two.
  10. "Grandma said stop eating all our steaks"
  11. I am pretty sure that means it ended. Cant imagine that was what it sold for when 2 just ended for $362, & $385
  12. He certainly won't have any trouble getting his $ back. But as far as getting the 9.9s for that heckuva good price, he may be S.O.L. That said, the seller appears to be in good standing on Ebay from 2009. What's the likelihood he's going to want to tank his good rep. for some shoddy reason? Sellers also have an obligation via the new Ebay regs to put in some tracking info. within a timely period. Not saying there's not a first time for everything. Even at that price, that seller made a tidy profit...but if he was expecting to retire early off of those 9.9s he's probably a bit miffed. Here's to hoping he/she/it comes through on their end of the transaction. Hi everyone, I am that seller, and I wanted to clearify something.... The buyer took his sweet time in paying... 4 days after the auction and I was traveling at the time to the NYC Convention... I did contact the buyer while at the show, when I noticed a message from him asking why I did not ship one day after he paid.... I Politely informed him that because of his delay I would not be able to ship his books until I returned home... I believe that this is a over reaction on his part, had he paid quickly I would have shipped prior to leaving for the con. I have NEVER backed out of an auction and I doubt I ever will I honestly would have shipped today but life got in the way... so to be fair... I'm a day later then I should have been... Good deal. Although there is a part of me that is sick to my stomach for you. That was an awesome set that went way too low. I really would have bid had i thought there was any chance i could get it under $600. I thought it would possibly hit $1000
  13. I bought it. Told u I liked to gamble. Abraham is a great character. If he resonates w/ the TV crowd I think I could double my money. He's a great character. I love the book. Congrats on the pick up. Here is my Yellow copy. For a while, right after Abraham was killed, you couldn't give this book away. I tried to sell a raw 9.6+ for $40-50 or so and didn't even get an insulting lowball. Now, I am glad. http://www.myslabbedcomics.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=6527&GSub=628 Man, imagine what will happen to #1 when Rick dies??? Rick will never die he'll just keep losing body parts kinda like an old missing dog poster I saw long ago, one ear, one eye, missing teetch, and 3 legged goes by the name lucky. I thought that was a good Price ... I paid a whopping $15 for that one last year , nice UNPRESSED example , Thanks again for the Sale im sure it will be $300 by the end of the season (4) -gary I agree. I was glad to get it.
  14. Kind of like my favorite comic Todd the Ugliest Kid on Earth. But Five ghosts is right there. Have my SDCC set and just added #6 NYCC. All i want/need is an Ashcan #1

  16. ! Hey hey....that's not always a lie!!! I had a BIN for an X-men that got dropped shortly after a best offer was made. I told the buyer that I'd reslab and offer it again to him once it was returned at the same price. I couldn't in good faith sell some cracked slab! To get an SDCC Five Ghosts set in 9.9 for $550 i would let Roseanne Barr use it for a bed during Lovemaking with Tom Arnold. Then get it reslabbed since it would have already been "pressed"!
  17. I think it just ended. Probably a behind the scenes offer to avoid the Fees.
  18. is this guy joseph0468 a broadie? let's ask around, maybe you should start a thread in comics general see anyone know him, so you can get in touch. is it long enough to open a case? I know you want to book more than refund. good luck http://www.ebay.com/itm/Five-Ghosts-1-5-CGC-9-9-CGC-SS-Frank-Barbiere-MINT-Three-9-9s-two-9-8s-/321217222692?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item4aca09d824 this is the sale you refer to, right? I would be very concerned. I believe this same seller had them listed at $1999 BIN so I am sure he was not pleased with the final price. If i had thought they would only go for that I would have bid. Incredible steal that unfortunately could be too good to be true.

  22. I would be surprised if this book didn't climb in sales and readership in a big way. It is stupid funny and makes people laugh out loud. It kind of the Clerks of comic books to me. I read it, I'm happy. I read it again, happy again. Kevin Smith's Clerks does the same thing to me every time I watch it. This is a special book. I know this is from Clerks 2 but one of my favorite lines of all time "I sure hope that Donkey doesnt have an a@@ troll" The ABC dance made Clerks 2 must see The Star Wars vs. LOTR argument was fandamtastic Have u ever watched the Ali G Show? It is funny how many shows that Todd makes me think of due to the "cringeworthy" moments of laughter. If loving Todd is wrong I dont want to be right Cringeworthy? As in I am cringing at the fact I am laughing so hard at something so fuc@$&g wrong and warped. Like every scene of Borat. Like the "7 minutes of Heaven". I cringed at the fact that i almost pissed myself over that sequence of events.
