If hulk 181 didn't exist gsx1 and all future xmen books may have not have had the impact they had at all. Wolverine was the main reason the xmen were cool. Same thing in the 90s. Interesting debate if the xmen would even exist today if there was never wolverine. 181 > gsx 1 in value and importance. Obviously both are great books tho ?

I think maybe the new virgin cover of x23 by dell Otto is hurting the originals value. Why pay that much money when you can get the next best thing for way cheaper? I hope they don't start recycling a lot of art like this.

I think his covers have been amazing this past few years and most of his stuff has been selling out fast. Many of his variants have increased in value across various titles so not sure ?

I think it's cool, I wouldn't have done it but Tom Holland is the best Spider-Man actor so far..

Some of it is sickening but like others said many collect for cover art and variants seem to almost always have the best artists attached. I have 90 percent silver and bronze stuff but 10 percent is modern variants and sometimes not variants if the art was great. Examples of some I have and some I'm waiting on below. In 20 years who knows how these will be valued compared to old stuff? To not collect variants would be to miss out on some amazing comics.

This makes me sick like spidey. I hate when they recycle art color it differently and make it a super rare turd sandwich. I like cover recreations better where they take an old concept, redraw it and add their own interpretation or something.

I feel like dell Otto is now in his prime for drawing spider man and that he's the best ever at it. Granov and Crain are great...i love classic spider by romita and have every issue also McFarlane and ditko but yo, this guy is better than all of em.

I would buy the best issue raw. Get it signed pressed and graded at a con and hope for 9.8 then sell and repeat. For personal collection I'd use 300 on a mint raw variant and the other 200 on new releases....his spectacular Spider-Man 300 looks nice and I'm sure he will be doing more covers soon.

There's a lot of debate on that. Some say Spider-Man 121... I lean more towards the change from 12 cents to 15 cents. But definitely somewhere in that 90 to 121 range

Picked up the virgin and trade combo for the carnage book. My first dell Otto. I love his art but wanted to wait for something new and not venom (there's too many venom covers). Also wanted something with Spider-Man fighting. I'm surprised it has not sold out yet.
