  1. Ill make it easier and Copy/Paste it for you, maybe you are reading this on a phone?

    1) The 30-Day Rule

    a) If a transaction between board members is not completed within 30 days, the offended party may submit the offender's name for inclusion to the HOS/Probation List (hereafter called the PL)

    b) If the transaction is agreed on by both parties to take longer than 30 days - for example, a transaction involving time payments over a longer time, the 30 day clock begins from the time the agreed upon conditions were violated.

    c) The 30-day rule is suspended if the accused refuses to complete the transaction or if the transaction cannot be completed due to, for example, the item being sold to someone else.

    d) A Transaction between board members is not confined to the CGC Message Boards. Any transaction between forum members, regardless of the venue, is eligible for inclusion in the PL.

yup an iphone not as good as a laptop or tablet.

But as stated in my previous post that rule is for probation or probation nomination. Doesn't state anything about me getting paypal involved to solve an issue.

The members here can say this and that about the buyer and the seller but doesn't mean the seller doesn't have to comply. That is why paypal dispute comes into play where and when you file a dispute paypal provides all forms of resolution to help resolve any issues.

Maybe I have a lot more to learn from being on this forum but I guess hearing what other long term members say does help in the future of purchases.

I have sold a hand full of things so far and as a seller in my own perspective, I prefer to send out what was paid for asap to my best ability but then again that is just me.

  2. Where is this board rule? I read the sales guidelines which didn't state those rules.

This is what I see as for rules:

    http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1460472&page=1#Post1460472

Those are the rules. (thumbs u

I read that but no where does it state a rule for waiting 30 days for something you paid for. Or is it more of a "rule of thumb" per-say?

this thread explains the 30 days rule.

I read that and quite honestly it's so dang vague. Doesn't state anything about buyer never receiving what they paid for and can't file dispute without waiting 30 days.

Those rules just seems to mean both parties have 30 days to fully complete the transaction prior to nominating those involved to the probation list. No where does it state that jumping the gun to file a dispute is a no no but seems like it's more of a rule of thumb to not jump the gun. However in my case I felt it was more than fair as I have asked twice and the third time was to file a dispute to start the process with a mediator in between which is paypal to moderate the issue.

  3. Update: Joeypost agreed to refund as I have taken his request into consideration to close. He stated he will refund once he gets home tonight.

By the way, I'm still confused by what he meant by sending me 2 books when I never received any in the first place in which I paid for.

  4. I'm still new and don't know much of the rules but I figured I pm him already and ask numerous times for status update on tracking I felt I was blown off twice with his statements of not receiving it and checking his records and mean while he continues to post up on other threads and what not and not trying to solve issues at hand.

Too me I felt I was in the right to file a dispute hoping he would take it into account of my concerns and reply and guess I was right because now he is concern.

I kept it between the seller and me and never went to this sale thread and started pointing fingers.

I already purchased one on eBay and it arrived pretty fast. Dispute will close once refund has been received.

I'm doing this to protect myself as the sales guidelines does state "at your own risk" and doesn't state anything as far as opening a dispute prior to 30 days.

Since you outed yourself I am going to have to stick to the rules.

You can close the dispute and I will refund your money.

Or, I can satisfy PayPal and mail you the book so you can have two copies.

    Next time understand the rules.

    Outed myself? lol

And 2 books? You stated you never sent any book out.

  6. How would this following scenario be viewed according to the rules of the boards.

Book is sold and seller waits till his thread is closed and then sends out invoices.

Seller thinks he has mailed out the book and it turns out he did not. When brought to his attention the seller makes sure no shipping history exists and then let's the buyer know the book would be shipped out in a few days. All of this is well within the 30 day window.

Buyer opens a paypal dispute and then PM.s the seller he picked up another copy on ebay and wants his money refunded.

November 10th you sent me an invoice.

November 12th I paid invoice and apologized that I didn't check my paypal and paid you immediately.

November 15th I pm'd and asked for tracking and status and you stated you will ship out on Monday and stated you don't like to leave packages at the post office over the weekend.

November 22nd, I pm'd stating I did not receive package.

November 22nd, you stated you might not have shipped it out. I replied thanking you for replying back with status update.

November 26th, I pm'd again for status update.

November 29th, I filed paypal dispute for tracking hoping this would get your attention.

November 30th, you stated that since I never received it that meant you never sent it out and wanted my info again to send it too which was on the payment I sent on November 12th.

December 1st, I stated I never received it and already purchased one on eBay.

December 1st, you asked why I filed a dispute and you wanted me to close dispute prior to refund.

December 1st, I replied stating once you hit that refund link dispute will automatically close.

I've been patient and kept communication with you but there are those instances that you did not provide me with a tracking and then finally realized you never sent it.

If you think I deserve to be on the probation list then by all means add me on it for me trying to protect myself from losing any money.

I've been screwed by so called "long term" members or whatnot but there are plenty of instances where "long term" members or vendors screwed people. Probably not on this forum but on many other ones I frequent like Nike Talk and others.

    OMG! SO Jelly right now...

  8. Well, I never did find an unsigned copy so I went ahead and sent in my Campbell. The registry points on even a qualified 9.8 are ridiculous!

I have an unsigned copy. Only issue is it has spine wear out of the box that I opened this year :(

Anybody know if it can be fixed or pressed?
