As i see by your words on my topic about the Ebay mess, you quickly changed your mind on me :shy:  as i said pastly on this topic, my love of comics doesnt necessary means that im a nice guy... and it seems that you discovered it by yourself ...

For what it's worth, I like your enthusiasm for comics and for DC. And I'm fond of the era of books that you collect since those are the books I was reading new as they were coming out. It's fun reading about you discovering them now, and I think it's important to have younger guys like you interested in our hobby.

  2. @BA773Considering BrianHoward's response above, and as others have already suggested, could you edit the title of this post so it's not misleading? Other people could come across it in a Google search and get the wrong impression of neatstuffcollectibles.

Mattel's Hot Wheels division has also been actively involved in race and racecar sponsorship:

In 1970 Mattel Hot Wheels sponsored the Funny Cars of both Tom "Mongoose" McEwen:

There is definitely a Spidey one. Had that one too and saw a couple on eBay. What I didn't realize was there was a JOKER one. That MAY be my next purchase. :takeit:Not sure about the Hulk though... I know AHI made lots of other cool toys (other motorcycles, cars, parachutes) that predominantly featured Batman, Spidey and Hulk.

After my last post, I checked eBay and found the Spidey one and at least two versions of the Hulk one. I think you got me going down a rabbit hole!

Got this badboy off of eBay the other day. Earliest toy (pre-dates "farmboy" Luke) that I remember my mom giving me as a small child. No clue what happened to my childhood toy but this one brought back all the nostalgia.

I seem to recall there also being Spidey and Hulk versions of these. They would break very easily if you tried to do any of the jumps or stunts listed on the package.

My wife is finally complaining. One of the five bedrooms has way too many boxes now...damn. I do have a storage but freaked out about moving more to the storage though I have not had any problems with the storage for more than a decade...

Hit the purge button, dude. If your collection is so big that you gotta put some of it in storage, I would suggest you consider down-sizing.

Yea, not sure, I only think about sixth scale stuff every 3 to 6 months, sometimes I ignore that market for a year or more.  But 2-3 years ago I looked at the available forums and thought collectorfreaks.com was the one with the most people who discuss Hot Toys and comparable sixth scale figures.

Over the last year I seriously considered the Hot Toys Ahsoka figures, but reading through the collectorfreaks threads on them I found that both the Clone Wars and Mandalorian versions have those latex-covered elbow joints that look awesome but are highly prone to tearing if you leave them in bent positions.  I really don't want to deal with that kind of headache so I abandoned the idea of buying either.  The idea of being forced to leave my figures in vanilla poses to preserve them offends me.  :sorry:

Those kind of QC issues got me out of collecting both Hot Toys figures and Takara Masterpiece Transformers. I'm out of toy buying/collecting altogether now, but I still like to follow along. Those GI Joe Classifieds are very tempting, especially now that they're putting out stuff like the HISS and VAMP. But I've kicked the habit and I'm going to keep living clean.
