  1. Great 5.5. What are the defects. Looks quite beautiful
  2. Bronze Investment ? I think I'd go for ..... high grade Showcase 37. Metal Men. Platinum is gonna be hot Wait. That's silver Ok never mind Get a high grade WWBK 33
  3. We must be very close to having all issues posted. Montezuma would know. I love seeing all the 15 cent postage stamp issues since I'm still filling my dell rack and they give me something to look for?
  4. My one issue of little kids I've owned since I was a little kid is probably a 1.0 rag. Finding any of that genre like that is amazing.?
  5. I think there are opportunities still in some of the SA DC books Showcase 37 in as high grade as you can get. Some day a movie will be most excellent. Or buy a hulk 181or ASM 129 and follow the general crowd
  6. I think you are going to land in the 4-4.5 range. Many valid comments on defects Little tape on bottom and is the top staple replaced? Are those extra holes or loose staple? Great story. Great price and I hope it gets the highest grade possible for you unrestored ?
  7. Too bad he had to pass for his amazing collection to come to market. Amazing man and awesome pedigree
  8. I have an AF15 3.0 with similar marvel chipping 3.0
  9. why have it graded if you aren't selling ? Yeah, the plastic bag he has it in currently looks like adequate protection. That was my thought as well. Ranks right up there with Saran wrap ?
  10. Which makes it all the better Congrats to the owner Play your cards right and don't quick sell this to a collector or dealer. Get it reviewed by a professional who can press and dry clean it and fold back all the parts carefully to them maximize the slabbed grade and your end price if you should decide to slab and sell. Personally most folks here would love to own it. If I were in your position I'd keep it too.
  11. I just find it interesting that a key book can be sold for so much more in the cgc slab. And I love date stamps
  12. Some of these moon knight covers are striking I should check out my OO copy and slab it 9.8
  13. Betty ? One of the best Archie covers IMO All I can think about when I see that cover is a meat sandwich. Dang juggies got his priorities straight.
  14. Are we talking about the CBCS Pep 22 with extensive resto? Is this an IGB book? This is an not a IGB. old school resto because of the re gloss... very old shoool resto 1990's style. It was probbaly a 1.5 2.0 prior. No major pieces added or grafted. If it was IGB it would be a 9.6 ? You can see that there is a pencil mark ok the i of comics Also the spine wear is still evident and IGB wouldnt. An honest old school resto job. Well done. Definetly not An IGB Also this is not a common hulk 1 made into a 9.6 but the rarest top ten golden age book of Archie that kid named chick Only 12 unrestored cgc and 11 resto. A total of 23 books!! compared to the 66 copies of action comics 1!!! A pep 9.0 extensive sold for 30k with a logo from a a pep 30. This is on has upgrade potential via Matt nelson at ccs most likely. So a strong 7.0. An extensive 5.5 just sold for 21 250$.. This 7.0 can be upgraded since it has dirt ,pencil mark on cover and color breaking creases. Also the CW archie series should help give a good boost to previous sales. Well the Pep #22 CBCS copy sold for $20,250. Last year this same copy sold at CC for a little more than $23k.. Just goes to show that movies, tv shows, etc have no impact on GA keys, only SA and newer IMO. I think All Star 8 was seriously affected by the announcement of WW being in the Superman/Batman movie. Its gone crazy and now there are a boat load on the market. I think wonder woman was impacted by all the hoarders of all star 8, Wonder Woman 1 and sensation 1. Big dealers and smart high end collectors have cornered the market on those books and you gotta pay up to play. Can't be done with silver or later but GA is ripe for hoarders with decent bankrolls.
  15. If Turner Classics only shows classics, I'm afraid you will never see it... Well I assumed in 40-50 years they'll be looking for decent movies and you are probably correct
