  1. Most people couldn't part with a gem like that, even if they had one.
  2. Great thread you created....and an awesome accomplishment. I'm all for seeing everyone's copies from high grade gems to coverless incomplete tatters...
  3. This is Super neat Josh!!! What a great accomplishment and as far as CGCs label they should do this with all the books. I like this so much more than the all green label. Anyone know if they have pulled away from the purple as well? It would look much better like this IMO. Super cool book thanks for sharing and congrats again for putting together a super neat book!! Amazing Amazing Man...great work so since no color touch and no prescriptive "restoration that would make it "appear" nicer, other than reversible work will get you a "conserved" label? I like the grey label....just would love to know what it takes to get one vs a PLOD?
  4. Quoted again just because all pre hero collectors want to find a hoard like yours
  5. Archies Joke Book Magazine #62 June 62 Guess you can record it as having two found so far, since the first seller said it was the only one in existance....from a recent local find and it was the only 15 cent variant out of 15 different similar era archies
  6. You guys are starting to say popular things again... Here's a comment for all you cover collectors, myself included... All those great Famous Funnies Frazetta cover books are window dressing to some inferior artwork that doesn't float my boat at all. When I find a GA book that I can read and has superior interior artwork, it's always a blessing.
  7. Today's local find... Showcase 9 in the wild Black Knight 1 Mystery in Space 53 Flash 118 A nice group of lower grade Archie's and other esoteric books. What I think is a 15 cent variant Archie Joke Book :-). Googled and saw a 12c copy for sale on eBay :-) And more old 10-15 cent issues About a short box full
  8. 6 long boxes of stuff Craigslist find yesterday Multiples of many Xmen from 128 up and many nice earlier individuals. An Asm 238 with tatooz and then some other later keys like hulk 340, Inhumans 1 and then later 90's semi interesting books Some may need to be slabbed as there are high grade potential on many. Xmen 121 is purty and two of the 137's are too. Earliest Xmen was annual 1, and a nice 102.
  9. Will take a look... A friend picked up a collection of over 1000 water and smoke damaged comics, still a little damp now and I found a handful of stamps to cut out of them... :-)
  10. Always wanted a superman 3,6,8... Had a copy of #2 at one point. Here are my earliest copies now. 11 and 27 and 4. All board purchases
  11. I've seen lots of his Sigs from a collection and this one looks good.
  12. Pals and Gals 5 would look funny next to my Archie 50 : Also I think that perry mason legs issue is nice... Great finds all
  13. Beautiful copy and a little unpressed over-flash roll.
  14. I love the idea! My image has been changed And thanks to everyone else too. I am very happy that I picked this one up. That's what I'm talking about....Spyder! "smiles"
  15. I wish all copies had that logo box. You need to make this your Boardie image. My Asm 2 just isn't as happy.
  16. Great copies guys and cool signed copy Always wanted a.copy. Want to find one in the wild. Just haven't. Have found 2 and up though
  17. Looks like you picked up a lot of nice books Thanks, it was fun! Here's the Craigslist pic that made me want to drive 2 hours for them: That's a drool worthy load of books. Looks like you did well. Makes you wonder what the guy before you got though... I was there when the doors opened. No comment on what he had. Burn the witch.
  18. Another reason to post Go white knight
