Hello all! After the success of my Father's Day Sale, I'm offering a smaller mid-grade run of Marvel SA keys for sale, including one 9.8 from the last sale with a lower price. I will run the sale for about a week. These books have strong page quality, great eye appeal, and good color/gloss. You will be HAPPY with these books, I promise. Details: Payment: I accept checks, money orders, and Paypal. Shipping is FREE in the US for all books. Terms: Books will be sent Priority Mail, well packed, with no returns. Claims in the thread take priority over PM conversations, so if we make an agreement via PM please claim the book in the thread right away. Kudos: I've been on the boards for 20+ years and have bought from (and sold to) all the heavy hitters. You'll get great service from me. Taking Offers: Due to the high quality of these books in grade, my pricing will start on the high side of fair. I am, however, open to offers or time payment discussions via PM on the larger books. If paying over time, I ask that you pay by check or MO. I could go two or three equal payments to get something done. Any questions, offers, etc., PM me anytime! Now onto some books... Dan

Went yesterday for a few hours -- very decent show. Traded a Hero For Hire #1 (9.4 wp) and a little cash for an FF #2 (6.0 oww) -- fun! Dan -
Huh. N00b. OH, and congrats to Jimbo! One of the best. Dan

I taught Persepolis for a couple years to ninth graders -- it's a remarkable work. Congrats on landing a page! Dan

I went today (Friday) and they were checking bags but not banning them. You can bring anything reasonable into the Con, methinks. Dan

WB's BARBIE THE MOVIE starring Margot Robbie (2023)
Drummy replied to Bosco685's topic in The Movie Forum
Having just had a (diet) Mountain Dew, and thinking this movie is going to be a lot more satiricial and intelligent that most people might think, I'm in! Dan -
If you're quoting Black Widow from "Age of Ultron", you've quoted the ironic prophesy perfectly. The MCU had the magic formula (for the most part) between 2008-2019. Now it's pretty much over save for a few cool things here and there. Sigh.

Hercule Poirot: A Haunting In Venice starring Kenneth Branagh (9/15/23)
Drummy replied to Bosco685's topic in The Movie Forum
Yeah, they're all fun in the classic Branagh-just-over-the-top kind of ways. A kind of artsy melodrama for mystery fans. Dan- 19 replies

Just saw the third episode and, so far, my grade of B remains...there are some fine character conversations and worthy, if occasionally uneven, motivations. I think surprises are forthcoming and look forward to seeing how it all wraps up. Not great, maybe, but I'm not seeing the drek others are commenting on thus far -- to each his own! Dan

That's quite the bust. Um, I mean mini-statue. Dan

Saw the first episode and liked it pretty well...would give it a solid B. Nice to see some of the gang back together, with an interesting set of problems to solve. Dan

Hey Sweet Lou -- I had a nest egg for these two books, of course, but also sold off a bunch of 'smaller' comics in my recent sales thread, including my undercopy ST 110 7.0, an X-Men 4 in 7.0, a JIM 103 9.2, and a few others. Am working now on landing a white-paged X-Men #1 since October never sells me his copy. Dan -
Strong auction overall -- I missed the one piece I would have liked, so if anyone picked up the PPSSM #10 splash and wants to move it along eventually, shoot me a PM! Otherwise, enjoy! Dan

Great books, everyone! I parlayed some of my sales here to land two important issues for my SA key collection: -
Hey Rob! I thought the Byrne Champions page ($15,600 for a strong panel page) was nuts...I'd love to buy me more Byrne Champions pages, but I can't compete at that level. Lots of Byrne fans out there, and for good reasons. Dan
