  1. Love me some Sal, one of my favorites from my youth! Never read this book, but love the page. Congrats, Dan
  2. Very cool stuff, thanks for the link! Dan
  3. Same here -- I loved 'Knives Out' and read a lot of mysteries growing up. I'm the kind of person who enjoys Branagh's Agatha Christie films as well, so this feels super fun (and with a cool cast). Dan
  4. Ain't that the truth. I'm also in line for an Avengers #1, so I hope they hold off for a while!
  5. Oh, I get it -- I misinterpreted your tone there. I can't help you on the timing/costs, but CLINK does give buyers time payments if you talk to them ahead of time about max bids on big pieces (3-5 months). I did it one time and it was easy. That's quite enough peer pressure from me, though -- thanks for looking and I'm glad you like the pieces! D
  6. Awesome book, as usual. GLWTS! Dan
  7. Hey there! Thanks for the good words, although I'm sorry to hear you're not interested if they are auctioned at Comiclink...do you just not bid with them for some reason? I wanted to give them a shot at some real OA because they've always been great with me personally, but I understand that everyone has different experiences. Dan
  8. Oh, and I guess this is the forum for a shameless plug of my two pieces in this CLINK auction -- take a look! Love me some '70's Marvel Team-Up with Gil Kane and Sal B... Dan
  9. Hey folks! I got a great price at auction on the FF #5 in 3.5, no question. Thought it would hit $14k for its eye appeal and that's pretty much what happened. No regrets. Always buying the book and not the number in the corner, Dan
  10. Lots of good stuff here...have a panel page I'm eyeing for sure!
  11. Well, my goals for 2022 have been somewhat accomplished...I got a superb piece of Byrne Bronze Age Champions art in February and a new FF #52 from Comiclink in August (below). Still need a few books (TTA 27, FF 4, AV1, and TOS 57) to finish off my SA key list, so I'm hoping for one more comic by 2023. Dan
  12. Yeah, that was a great pickup given that the (admittedly superb) 3.5 wp on CLINK went for $14k! Well done.
  13. Hi all! One book for sale, and the usual rules apply -- no deadbeats, HOSers, or cheapskates. I accept cash, check or MO, or Paypal, and am happy to return a book within 7 days if the buyer doesn't like it and will pay return shipping. Shipping is FREE in the US as usual. FOR SALE: FF #52 (CGC 7.0 WP) -- 1st appearance Black Panther. Super pretty copy with a sharp overall look and deep color strike. No writing or problems; back cover is clean. Take a look! ASKING: $2400 Please PM me with any questions, offers, or what not. Thanks for looking! Dan
  14. Whoa, you found one! I've been looking for you, too, but found nuthin' -- congrats!!! Dan
  15. No perfect movies exist, but I do love The Shawshank Redemption, Shakespeare in Love, Unforgiven, and a few others...
  16. That is a super strong price, and I wouldn't condemn anyone who wanted that book. The right edge tanning is a bit of a turnoff for me personally, though, and I can't see why CVA would put its mark on it for that reason. Shameless plug -- for the money, I'd rather have the 3.5 in this auction instead! Dan
  17. I, too, read the comic books...great picture, thanks for posting!
  18. I guess my biggest 'goal achieved' so far is that I'm on target building my little collection -- 5 pieces in 5 years, with 6 in 6 years coming in December when my time payments are finished. If I can get one nice piece a year, I'm happy! Dan
  19. I too, alas, consider any art they have as forever lost in some eternal and surreal Museum of the Absurd, although it's fun to see their stuff when they set up. I emailed them several years ago about an Iron Man cover, and they did write back quickly to tell me it had already sold. I wonder if the Deathlok cover will fall in the same category? (I do like a lot of Buckler's stuff from that era.) Dan
  20. I'll say -- well done! When I collected HG FF's, the best I found in this issue was a 9.0 -- everything else was way too pricey due to the scarcity in HG. Exciting! Dan
  21. The more I think about it, the more I think 'BOBF' and 'The Last Skywalker' are the two worst SW related shows ever. Loved the pitch meeting, as it hit everything that was wrong with this show in elegant fashion. Let Boba be Boba! D
  22. I'm re-watching 'Community' right now...one of my favorite comedies ever.
