    Friend of mine who’s an antique dealer lost his warehouse in a fire last year, about 100 grand worth of funny books turned to ashes. He had more value in antiques lost, but it’s the comics that made me sad.

    I think even though pence copies were printed here and basically US books, Canadian books are considered more polite and non-threatening so are more sought after. Sorry

    There was a for sale thread earlier today touting a super rare Spec Spider-Man magazine 1 40cent Canadian variant. Just curious how rare this is or if at all, I haven’t seen one but have never really looked either. It was a 9.2 slabbed and seller wanted 5k it it was yanked for violations

    Had David Tennant sign my daughter’s painting at the show (1.5 hours in line - urgh! - Dad points) shuffled through like cattle but he seemed genuinely impressed with her work. Image is the last scene before he “dies” and a new doctor takes over.
