  1. Pretty tame explicit language and the violence when compared to say WD is likewise. I have only watched 4 episodes. Even the sex scenes while obvious pale to GOT or True Blood although I would feel uncomfortable watching with my 14 year old kid.
  2. Complete silliness. If you see any quality in this, you're easily pleased.
  3. Watched tonight's episode. What a ridiculously bad show. The Flamingo?? Nice job on the lax security for a guy who just killed 4 cops.
  4. My mantra lately since I picked up a bunch of copies cheap
  5. Well if it's anything close to the success of True Blood your 6 copies should be a sound investment. A show does not have to be good to be successful, hello 2.5 men. That being said I really enjoyed True Blood's first few seasons.
  6. Thanks much Randall for expediting the shipping for me, needed the books in time for a con and they were delivered as promised Bravo
  7. There is only one version of this issue, correct? Seller states newsstand...
  8. not too rare I think, there are a few BIN's on eBay right now
  9. Wow, that's nice of her. Was it her husband's or son's collection? Husbands collection. She is still married to him and I am trading hockey cards for comic books. The collection starts at #95. She was going to throw them out as the LCS offered her next to nothing. Word of mouth brought her my way via a friend. Man there are some retarded comic shop owners out there.
  10. There is zero logic behind this plot device. What's the point of killing healthy people? If you want humanity to survive you kinda need people - especially women. It's also a bonus that only good looking women seem to survive a zombie apocalypse. Highly unlikely soldiers would even carry out an order like that. I like the show, but really, how hard would it be for an organized military to create a safe compound?
  11. My strategy is to hold onto the 2 until they're no longer relevant.
  12. Be interesting to see if you get close to that asking price. What asking price?
  13. Dollar bin finds, not sure to sell raw or slab n sell. Should get 8.0 or better after a press
  14. I liked last night's epi as well. looks Like we're heading into the military abusing their power angle. Honestly, you would think military led compounds would be the most likely to survive this, but that doesn't seem to be the case. One sour note with me is the the fact that no one seems overly traumatized. How often do you see someone's head obliterated by a shotgun in your own home? Plus your childhood babysitter lurking out back, craving some brains. The zombie seemed to kill the german shepherd too easily as well, not an easy feat bare handed. ... nit-picking
  15. A little thick on the hype...and how do they know only 5 exist? Accounted for is not the same thing as exists. I think there were 5 copies that had been acknowledged in public, until I posted mine (the 6th) here on the boards in June. This book is very closely tracked, because it's believed to be so scarce... However, RMA is right. I'm sure there are some others tucked quietly into collections, and probably more sitting unrecognized out there. I found mine quite inexpensively at the 2nd day of a fair-sized con, where it was obviously bypassed by many, many people before I saw it and recognized it for what it was. Still, I'd say this by far the rarest Whitman. Easily the rarest of the DCs, and probably also rarer than any of the 8-12/80 pre-pack issues. Count me in for the 7th copy. Picked mine up in a larger collection about a year ago, lower grade though.
  16. Second that. I've decided not to sell anymore of my DC Comics Presents copies since you never know which one will take off
  17. With books like New Mutants #98 going for big money, it's not surprising that Star Wars #42 with fewer copies graded, 11 years older than NM #98, and the first comic Boba Fett and first comic Yoda should be giving Deadpool a run for his money... so to speak. With the Star Wars books back at Marvel, the key issues from the original run are set to become even bigger keys. First Boba Fett would be big. First Yoda would be big. Star Wars #42 is both... with Boba on the cover. Super win. Deadpool who? You would think SW 2 would have better legs being first appearance of Han & Chewie
  18. How that guy is still selling is beyond me.. Makes me very curious what's required to be an overstreet price guide adviser. Buying advertising in the book is the way to do it.
  19. Wondering what the value of this rack is. 50's Dell, in VG+ condition
  20. Boing! Great stuff. Do you think it's better to display 10 copies of Strange Tales 110 or just a couple grades? If I wanted one I would post-it note your booth for later on since you're probably not selling them all. Rather than thinking I better buy-it-now or lose out since you only have 2 copies... Your way is super impressive looking though
