  1. Until you actually opened it and went "GAH". Now there's some bad taste I seriously love this run. Harkens back to Kirbys 50s work like Black Magic. It's amazing to me how many people are still antagonistic toward it, just because it didn't regurgitate his SA work If by "GAH" he means Goofy, Atrocious, Horrible - I'd have to agree
  2. Have to agree the worst part of the movie was Luthor. Don't understand the casting choice at all. Even with a bald head since all prisoners in the DCU are shaved when captured???
  3. I'm not sure if it's goofy or not. You take the chance and then you have to live with the guilt forever...brilliant actually. Jim If you're the type to blame yourself for a psychopath's actions I could see your point. Not sure it applies in a survival of the fittest type world, kill the wolves, enslave the sheep. In the end he leaves the strongest alive who will inevitably be his undoing. Do none of his minions want Carl's blood for taking out one of their crew? I had friends on that Death Star
  4. Noticed a goofy trend on WD. Anyone who directly attacks Negan gets a pass, Darryl, Carl and whatshername on Sunday. Someone else gets it instead.
  5. Maeve could not be any more sexy in that little black dress. Stunner
  6. Stop. Please. I kinda agree with him. Star Wars did have only one good movie. It was "Return of the Jedi." But, it did have three great movies (Episodes IV,V & VII,) two so-so ones and one turkey. My point exactly. The three "great ones" all told the identical story. -J. Walking Dead doesn't? Walk, kill a zombie, hide, repeat. Walk, kill a zombie, hide from the scary humans, wring hands, repeat. I was thinking about how many more violent antagonists are they going to encounter myself. No kidding... In 7 years they still live in the stone age after this catastrophe. Even though they are industrialized and modern they can't get beyond acting likes apes. 1diots could have mobilized better than this after 7 years. The show is beyond stale and doesn't do the comic any favors. On another note, I hear the Gold Key Star Trek comic is flying off the shelves because it's the 50th anniversary of the T.V series. It's not 7 years in story. Its like 18-24 months. Carl grew 3 feet in 18 months? Plus the 2 year old baby with 9 month pregnancy added in. It's more like 5 years
  7. It will go on (at least 1 more season renewed) but that doesn't mean it's a good show. Ratings are falling with good reason, nothing lasts forever except The Simpsons. Does anybody like Negan? He's supposedly charismatic but is one-dimensional and not even remotely funny. NOBODY in his crew seems to like him, he walks around like he's bullet-proof, it's ridiculous that someone close to him didn't put a bullet in his head yet (hellooo Carl).
  8. There must be some iron clad non-disclosures signed by employees at WW. Imagine having vids of some wannabe cowpoke raping and killing young girls or whatever other debauchery is condoned. Wouldn't look good at the Christmas party
  9. It was daylight savings time last night so I'll blame that on falling asleep 15 min before the end, but that would never happen for a GOT episode. It's an interesting series but wouldn't lose any sleep (literally) if it gets canned.
  10. He's an ancient pair of boobs now with the Marvel suits' white-washing, so it's now a she. But on the bright side, Interstellar Overdrive made the sound track (from an old Pink Floyd album) - they go way back the Doc and Floyd. And she plays the part perfectly. How is this even possible? She plays the part on the screen perfectly. I have no problem with them changing the gender of the character from what was in the original comics. For any character or just this one? For what, changing gender roles? Everything should be assessed on its own individual merits. I'll never agree with that It's not the Hulk we're talking about here, it's an unimposing, fragile looking, testosterone lacking old man. Why would an elderly woman not fit in this part just as well? I really don't want to argue about it, lets just agree to disagree Seen the movie tonight and thought it was great! Mind blowing effects, Pumpkinpatch was a damn good Strange.

  12. correct Incorrect. Rick fought with his bare hands to get to the ladder and on the roof where the axe was laying. Correct, google it and there is a slo-mo of the seen and clearly Negan hooks it up onto the roof of the RV. Until I watched it again I was sure he threw it into the horde also. Was that whole road trip scene just filler? Didn't make much sense or accomplish anything.
  13. I'm team Negan If stupid Daryl would have listened then none of that would have happened, would it. That was my first thought as well. It looked like he tossed it sideways, not up on top. I think there was a thump as it hit the roof, nice hook shot.
  14. It has a lot to do with Glenn being such a well loved character, a gleefully sadistic killer, all while his wife and friends watch in horror. What's so hard to understand that some people are totally turned off by this?
  15. U It's pretty spot on with how the comic book showed it (Glen's death at least) so why not just follow the comic book -script. TV audiences more squeamish then comic book fans? The realism was just sickening to me. I don't enjoy watching real videos of people getting killed and I really didn't enjoy this episode. For me, it was just like an episode of Game of Thrones where this huge brute of a guy crushes this other guy's head with his bear hands. It was a scene that I cannot "un-see". Brutal. Torture porn. I thought it was disgusting especially for prime time. I wonder if Negan was paying overtime to his voiceless henchmen who had to listen to him prattle on all night with the odd head bashing thrown in. Seriously, how does someone like this become a leader? He knows who the 2 strongest males are, so let's keep them alive... yup. You guys should check out The Walking Dead Thread in The Water Cooler. I and others expressed similar criticism/concerns about the escalation of explicit, graphic, realistic gore and violence in this episode. You should read some of the responses. It's a horror Show. Again, maybe The twilight saga is more some people speed here. I think a lot of people have an issue with it being a prime time network show. If it was HBO, gloves are off. As for the water cooler, some folks can't handle a contrary opinion to their own. Next to the Presidential election it's still the best zombie show on TV but it's jumped the shark.
  16. I don't think Team Rick wiping out (cowardly but effectively) that entire compound and others sat too well with Negan's people, I had friends on that Death Star scenario. I assume there's going to be a pit boss or two to monitor things in Alexandria, maybe pen-carrying mullet face.
  17. He's maintaining power the way all dictators throughout history have--fear of violence. He keeps the leaders of the communities he subjugates in place because a disorganized community is of no use to him. He was doing it to Hilltop as we learned last season--remember, the only reason Rick and his friends were there was to hunt down Negan so that the Hilltop didn't have to keep giving him tribute--and he's doing it to the community we'll see next week, too. He's not afraid of Rick because he has no reason to be. Rick's group is far smaller, less fierce, and less organized than his is. He thinks he's better off with Rick alive and staying in place as leader of Alexandria until Rick gives him reason to believe otherwise. I don't think there are many instances in history of a dictator allowing violent opposition to live or go unjailed. Rick threatened Negan - bat to the head. Darryl hit him - bat to the head. This didn't happen because it's Rick and Darryl, main hombres. Any uprising would be dealt with quickly by eliminating the leaders, opposition inspires people to rebel and no dictator wants that. One of Negan's top guys would then be gifted Alexandria to run.

  19. I'm pretty sure the early Aurora were not glow in the dark, that came late 60's
  20. Robert Got the books and my only complaint is I haven't purchased more from you in the past! Tight grading, excellent stuff, I'll be on the lookout for more carousels Wayne
  21. Great seller, great packaging, prompt shipping, the real deal. Thanks Collin! Wayne
  22. Lighten up ya bunch of holier than thou, high horse riding, soap box standing, glass house living whiners.Congrats on the score
  23. 1976. Down at the 7-11! Good times. I love that you saved the original. And those pin-ups are sick. Totally agree...just awesome. I remember searching for them in the drugstores as a kid and being so incredibly thrilled and excited on the rare occasions I actually found them. This one's a close tie for me with Superman vs Spidey for my favorite treasury. Remember buying this at Nite-owl as a 9 year old back in '76 The cover alone is worth it, wonder where the original art ended up...
  24. 100% I'd shovel mess to take care of my family. Luckily all my real life work experience means I don't have to.
