Since joining the boards, I really don't look at my collection the same. I like to break it down into 3 categories:
A) sketches I commissioned and picked up at same con
B) sketches I've purchased off the boards or on Ebay
C) sketches from opps or con pick ups where the artist had more time
Category C has the best results and its definitely my favorite. I could easily do 5 from each A,B, and C but will stick to the 5 from all 3 categories.
A) my favorite same con sketch
B) my favorite purchased sketch
C) these are my favorite opp / advanced con pick ups
Thanks to Hank Pym and Natali Sanders
Thanks to kaholo and Alfred Trujillo
Thanks to Jeffrey Edwards

Since theres not much activity with sketch covers as of late, thought id bump this thread up.
It was great looking thru (the ones that are still here) and coming across quite a few sketches I hadn't seen before.
You could've bumped it with your top 5

I need to get Wolfman and Pollard

As soon as Carnage is confirmed in a movie, these books will be going for $400 or more in 9.8. So if you're on the fence, get one now before any official announcement.
That assumes that the movie news spike continues indefinitely. I suspect it won't, but when it scales back I can't say.
So far only rumors have been thrown around for Carnage to appear in a Venom movie. When Carnage is confirmed to be in any movie, prices will go up.

I watched a raw sell at C2E2 for $90... I was in shock.
Jim
Wow that's crazy!
I went from booth to booth looking to pick up copies and a few of the dealers threw out $90 at me. I haggled and got about 4-5 copies in VF-VF+ for about $35/40 ea. Watch out for the copies with the "printer defect" small tears at the bottom. And yes, the book continues to rise even as the weeks go by.
What kind of grade drop will these tears cause? If a book looks like it would otherwise grade 9.8 but has these tears, what will it grade?

Looks like a 9.8
So when are you going to slab it?

Has to be movie hype of some kind. I paid a couple of bucks about a year ago for a better copy. I see most sellers on Fee Bay asking inflated prices. No one will care in another year.

My favorite possession that I bought off the rack is my 1978 Amazing Spider-Man calendar. I loved flipping through the pages of that thing each month.
Some tremendous artwork in these things.
post pics of all the pages of these calenders
