  1. I never collected Timleys. I had 3 copies of 8 and 2 copies of 4. I passed on a 9 since I was competing with Bob Overstreet at a convention to buy it. I recall him saying he wanted to collect all the Timleys and needed this copy. I got a coverless Marvel 1 missing last page on a trade throw in, and it went in my junk box intel it was not junk anymore had all of the Daring mystery's several times over along with All Select 1 young allies all these were my bread and butter to buy Actions and Detectives. Oh, did I mention this was late 70's early 80s and had a set of these.
  2. Guess you don't have no spider sense being a Dark Knight
  3. Don't forget to bring your low-grade Action 1 to 20 I need a few space fillers.
  4. The Tec 27 did not have the label fantast collection and was never mentioned buy the seller in all his visits everywhere. That being said I don't believe the 27 was from the fantast collection.

  7. Ha Barry its really me that started this thread.
  8. the label is not the same as The Batman 1 Superman 1 selling superman.
  9. I was told that once a cover having been cleaned it is 100 percent restored. I hear now that there is a cleaning that is ok. I understand leaf casting can be removed and I also know all restoration can be removed. I have a Tec 27 4.5 E. I was told the resto can be removed but the cover being cleaned cannot. I was also told that my book can be redone now 40 years later with less resto and higher grade.
  10. He did have a great collection. I did not see many other Golden age like Sup 2 up or Bat 2 up or any others. I heard the Tec 27 was his, but the label is different than the superman 1 or Batman 1.
  11. well Honda did come out with a HDMI plug in Honda
  12. If that was true, he would have gone for Action 1 first .
  13. My Tec 27 was fair to good back before I had it restored to a 4.5 E. I was told the resto could be removed but it will always be Restored because you cannot undo cover cleaned. I would love to have a unrestored/conserved 1.0 way over a 4.5 E. now days.
  14. I would say cover cleaned is always restored. Guess the submeter/seller has some superpower. I did hear that Heritage was part owner of CGC never really looked into it. I do agree the book is 100% restored with cleaned cover alone. I know they always say it was cleaned without acids or this or that
