  8. A certain comic made its very auspicious debut in the background of a 1952 episode of “Ozzie and Harriet”. Cool Picture what do you see?
  9. PGX can grade books just like most of us. I wanted to sell my Tec 1 and 27 Bat 1 when I wanted to buy a house here in California. CGC was way too much money to grade at the time for someone who wanted money. I had these books RAW for years and lots of people looked them over including me Mark Wilson and so on, so I had great idea on the grades. PGX did a great job grading them and I was there while they graded them, so all went smooth. the difference is CGC is like Heritage and PGX is like newspaper add. I will say if you put the name out of it, they are just people grading a book. We all make mistakes in life and so does CGC that's how we all get better. CGC is still the top grading company but the Fees
  10. 1939, Farm worker checking out the new magazines at the local drug store in Medford, Oregon.
  11. I would say No if you look you can see it's not attached and if it was it would be called Restored.
  12. No, it says Qualified not restored. I would say it's like adding a Marvel value stamp to a nice copy of Hulk 181that had its stamp cut out. Does nothing for value but as long as you don't attach it by any means it's not restored just wrong stamp to that copy.
  13. I don't think CGC is saying it's the wrong back cover. I think they are saying it's not the original back cover to this Detective 27 front cover hence Married label.
  14. Wonder-con 1998 I could have bought that page for 300 and it was nice shape.
  15. I had a copy of this book when I started collecting Golden age, I started with Action comics 10 and loved the way Superman looked. I got Action 2 and 7 on up Detective 1 2 3 most of them on up. But the Action 2 and 7 was the only 2 books I don't know what happened to. I started to party a lot late 80s and my mom kept my books till I got my life back and gave them back to me and it started me collecting again. The Action 2 and 7 were not there so I learned to replace them would cost 20 times more after 20 years of not collecting. I now only need Action Comics 2 and they don't come up for sale at a deal ever.
  16. I always loved Restored /conserved books. I stay away from Brittle. I always bought low grade books and had them Restored in the late 70s early 80s just so I had a nice-looking book. I bought this in this condition because I always wanted a copy back. I can't stand the condition and would love to have it Restored but the last 20 years I learned unrestored is Rare, so I keep it ugly like this.
