  1. 1939, Farm worker checking out the new magazines at the local drug store in Medford, Oregon.
  2. I would say No if you look you can see it's not attached and if it was it would be called Restored.
  3. No, it says Qualified not restored. I would say it's like adding a Marvel value stamp to a nice copy of Hulk 181that had its stamp cut out. Does nothing for value but as long as you don't attach it by any means it's not restored just wrong stamp to that copy.
  4. I don't think CGC is saying it's the wrong back cover. I think they are saying it's not the original back cover to this Detective 27 front cover hence Married label.
  5. Wonder-con 1998 I could have bought that page for 300 and it was nice shape.
  6. I had a copy of this book when I started collecting Golden age, I started with Action comics 10 and loved the way Superman looked. I got Action 2 and 7 on up Detective 1 2 3 most of them on up. But the Action 2 and 7 was the only 2 books I don't know what happened to. I started to party a lot late 80s and my mom kept my books till I got my life back and gave them back to me and it started me collecting again. The Action 2 and 7 were not there so I learned to replace them would cost 20 times more after 20 years of not collecting. I now only need Action Comics 2 and they don't come up for sale at a deal ever.
  7. I always loved Restored /conserved books. I stay away from Brittle. I always bought low grade books and had them Restored in the late 70s early 80s just so I had a nice-looking book. I bought this in this condition because I always wanted a copy back. I can't stand the condition and would love to have it Restored but the last 20 years I learned unrestored is Rare, so I keep it ugly like this.
  8. If that was a promise book it would have been 9.9 great pickup.
  9. I thought I read on the boards that he upgraded it since it was not the best copy?
  10. Did Dave/Dentist not own it than sold it for a better copy? I think in 1982 he told me he just bought it and a Detective 27.
  11. As a kid with a full set of hair back than I was happy to get this This was when comics were great and fun, and I had no worries or real responsibilities. I will say I loved reading those CBG looked Forword for that next one to be waiting for me when I got home and saw black and white pictures of comic's great times back than.
  12. I was selling every week in the CBG in 1987-1988 I do remember that article. I had hopes on selling my Tec 27 for a house myself. I had all the CBG for those years since I was selling the thing was, I was still living with my parents and brothers and when I was leaving home, I left all that behind and stayed here and there. I got straight and grew up and when I got back into comics 1997ish I was glad that my mom had held all my comics but threw away my stacks of CBG. I was happy that this was in one of my boxes.
