  1. We're finally getting some footage of skyrim special edition. I'm glad to hear depth-of-field can be turned off, but according to this video, it's not obtrusive, and only comes on when you focus on a (presumably) near-by object for several seconds. The new atmopsheric effects seem kind-of hit or miss to me. The shot at 8:43~8:44 looks terrible to me, but 8:53 and especially 9:48 look really nice.
  2. If we're just keying off the word "fly", then wouldn't action comics 65 be the one? That was october 1943:
  3. Imperials just do that for dramatic effect, and to stay in shape.
  4. Holy schmoley... freeze-frame the new trailer at the 40 second mark... do you see it?
  5. Why are the canals red? One canal goes through the great lakes. The shadow of the tail fin is on the left side of the ship, so the light should be coming from the right, so the earth and the moon should be illuminated from the right. The spaceship looks to be lifted from a famous funnies frank frazetta cover (214). The oceans aren't flowing into the canals. There's no snow, ice or clouds.
  6. Would you say that to him please, friendo?
  7. You can call cgc and talk to them directly. Their number is on their home page.
  8. That third image doesn't look real to me. I'm not going to say why here because I don't want to give any scammers any tips, and I wouldn't be surprised if they read these threads.
  9. Here's where the photo came from: https://comics.ha.com/itm/silver-age-1956-1969-/the-incredible-hulk-1-marvel-1962-cgc-vf-80-off-white-pages/a/7063-93165.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515
  10. Spiderman 40 is a great cover, can be had for $200 in mid-grade, and is also a great candidate for a Romita sig at some point. (Edit: 39 is good too.)
  11. There's a site that has all the early actions online available to read. I don't know if it's okay to post that here, but checking #30, I'd say I'm not sure that that one counts as definitively flying. While it does mention him "soaring" at one point, that doesn't necessarily mean he was soaring due to being able to fly, it could just be describing a big leap. In #60, lois lane gains superman's powers (although it looks just to be a dream sequence), but she certainly does appear to be flying, as it shows her path through the sky in one panel and she's zipping back and forth between buildings and circling buildings. In #65, a kid asks superman "lets see you fly", and in the next panel it's possible he is flying off, but its also possible it's just a leap. In 67 he sure looks to be flying given the arcing paths he takes through the sky.
  12. An AF15 from a seller with very low feedback, very little recent feedback, (only one sale, for a $2 item more than a year ago) with pictures and description identical to elsewhere on the innerwebs: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Amazing-Fantasy-15-CGC-5-0-OW-Pages-Universal-Spider-Man-Marvel-/232082684571?&_trksid=p2056016.m2518.l4276 Here's where you can find the same pics and description: http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/amazing-fantasy-15-cgc-0-ow-pages-50410854
  13. Any word on casting? Bryan Cranston perhaps?
  14. Slightly spoilerish, so don't watch if you haven't already watched the series:
  15. Season two is now official: http://www.eonline.com/news/787638/stranger-things-renewed-for-season-2-by-netflix
  16. I think the more fun, adventure and detective books from both may and june of 1938 all had the action #1 ad. The ad for June was slightly different than the ad for may, but both featured the cover showing superman. I have the more fun from june of 1938 (issue #32) and it has the ad:
  17. Rumor mill is saying we're getting another trailer this Thursday?
  18. Is that amazing adventures #2 cover considered to be "Xela"? It's not airbrushed, but it is painted. (Edit: well, I just checked GCD and they now say that that's not a Schomburg cover.)
