  1. She gets the title of the film wrong right from the get go
  2. A former super key, heck it still is for a lot established collectors. That is a gorgeous copy
  3. Dam that's a sweet copy!!! No doubt about it, a thats grail book there my friend! You how in the world! 1 of 2 graded copies!!! 340 75c regular 9.8's, but only a deuce of CPV's in top grade.
  4. I managed to buy all of Gary Dolgoff's remaining copies of this book back in the day. Gary it seems, had kept the best for last. Shout out to @Calamerica
  5. I thought it was a great set to have, and an obvious one for SA collectors. Check out the other SA focussed sets. they have done as well, I think the best set I put in was SA Silver Surfer, it's just called Silver Surfer (1968) now. You get the Surfer books, FF's, Tales to Astonish key appearances, and Hulk 102. The latest one is Doctor Strange (silver age), only 4 of us collectors listing so far The set I always wanted was Hulk silver age. It would cover some fantastic SA, albeit pricey books. I was thinking of it when ASM #14 was just slightly affordable in grade.... so about 15 years ago
  6. Thats some fantastic colour saturation on that book! This copy looks like it got the first run of freshly loaded inks on the press.
  7. The same goes for MJ's as well. Only the keys are worth the excitement, and the excitement gets very expensive, very quickly.
  8. Thats a staggering book, irrespective of the resto. Whats the history of the book, is there a story attached to it? Do have any pre-resto pics, it had to have been quite an impressive copy from the start.
  9. It had been a couple of years since I posted any on here! Ok, I feel better reading that... this spamming of the thread is seriously impressive!
  10. It's a popular book! $565 for a solid VF+ unslabbed is very impressive,
  11. The big CPV/keys are still going strong. Spidey 282, Thor 337... the demand for these books seems inexhaustible.
  12. Is anyone buying high grade NS 98's this soon after the holder tampering scam?? Prices are strong, but the scam has to have taken a toll.
  13. The interesting part is I can see a NS 88 going for more than a #1 NS of the same title. Though issue 8 is super strong right now, for just being a classic cover and FOMO driving prices.
  14. I think you're right. I can see 88 joining NM 98. The regular issues prices are all softening at the moment, and the NS editions are only climbing. NS is the clear winner in these huge population key books.

  16. No not really, I sold the 9.2 Don Rosa copy for $400+ this year. Wrightson is gold right now, in any and all contributions,
  17. Dune 1984, those numbers have to be ignoring 30 years of rentals, and subsequent dvd sales. surely.
  18. 5 weeks later, and a $300 higher battle to secure this book. Interesting.
  19. Thats a tough one to find in grade, well done
  20. In the not quite there category of this thread. this result still proved to be quite impressive. Doug said (shortly after telling this book) that it would only grade out as a 9.8, but the arguments on 9.8's vs 9.9 copy's of SA books is a never ending tale. We'll take this result at face value. Face value of the slab, or book, the result still stands.
