  1. Viking burials. A lot of us have earmarked those books for inclusion in our funeral pyre, as we transcend into Valhalla.
  2. Dam, thats a statement right there! Super key, old label, ped copy... serious kudos.
  3. Dune is perennial... before and after these movies have come and gone.
  4. Who's fate came first, Jeff Loveless, or Jonathan Majors? They seemed linked within the studio, one pulled on the other, and vice versa.
  5. The Union will need to jump on this now, and police it from the get go. I don't see the studio's adhering, without testing the boundaries of the points negotiated. It's too easy for them to push any questions to their legal team, and actors will need to strike again as their only real power leverage.
  6. Within 1-102, even the under-pursued books, are pursued! I'm still very surprised how low the high grade populations are on the majority of the issues all the way through the first 100.
  7. You'd be surprised how utterly unpredictable the future really is. Basing predictions on whats in front of today, even 5 years from now would be difficult to predict what will me the major trends in the entertainment industry.
  8. I can't quite make it out, is that you @Parabellum driving past?
  9. This book is M.I.A at Comiconnect. I've been fully refunded, and given priority at the same price, to buy the book as and when they manage to locate it. The book is on its way to me. Shout out to Rob for tracking it down
  10. That feels odd. The finale had a lot of teaser built into it, with Loki's ascendancy to 'time lord'.
  11. I need to back track some, reach over, and grab a plate of humble pie. The last episode was fantastic, both Owen and Tom were outstanding. The storyline, and their character developments really peaked, I loved it.
  12. I kinda felt like they were relying too much on him asking after pie. Like this was the basis for him being the good guy, and endearing. Not the strongest of character developments, and kinda sliding into 'just' another Owen Wilson character. The writing crew at this point could do with picking up a few of the back issues, and having a read.
  13. Yeah, the trajectory at the moment is that it will be a crash landing as opposed to a movie event worth watching.
  14. Wow, just wow!! The studio's are effectively trying to screw all actors, from the lowest up with exclusive right to all the AI IP, with no consideration paid, or cents on the dollar, and only once if they're lucky. Then, reading between the lines, anyone who was ever a Union member, to have unlimited access and use of their likeness in perpetuity as an AI, again for no consideration paid to the current rights holders. This is just a blatant tyrannical standpoint by the studio's!! The level of hubris shown by the studio's is just staggering!!
  15. He's essentially right. But the studio's are capitalising on the fact that they will never be dragged into court by by extra, and challenged on their onerous contract terms. The Union is doing the right thing, fighting for the rights before things get signed into place. The alternative, would be disband the Union, and form a new one. In perpetuity rights for likeness should come at a very high cost to the studio's, for even the lowliest person in the film making business.
  16. In terms of independent productions, outside of the main studio's is there anything available? Is it just the streaming platforms that are locked down, feeding their own content. But there are independent content producers with Amazon etc. Hopefully I'm not being grossly naive here about how the whole system works from your side
  17. "firm & final offer" that is so hollow, you can hear an echo coming out of it. The studio exec's think they hold some kinda of winning hand, which is obviously ridiculous to anyone trying to sit through most of the movies coming out at the moment.
  18. This book is M.I.A at Comiconnect. I've been fully refunded, and given priority at the same price, to buy the book as and when they manage to locate it.
  19. Bidders missed the first one, then chased the second copy harder. They're last few seconds bids on the first book were too light, then they upped them on the next copy.
  20. An entire series of Star Wars: Visons, with a distinct and unique flavour... about young girls beating the empire with grit and tenacity.
  21. This show was the high water mark for MCU creativity in the last 24 months or so. It's disappointing to see it sliding. But it's sliding on a weak story, the diversity angle hasn't been overt thankfully. Let see how series 2 of What-if goes. The episode with the made up Native American character reeks of "inclusion", but at this point, the plot was hatched within the deep grasp of Kathleen Kennedy's reign. Too late to salvage expectations. Hopefully it's not going to be nowhere near as bad as series 2 of Star Wars: Visions
