  1. So who's been around a long time? Were there cycles prior to what vaillant is discussing?
  2. You used one of my favorite words, Rick: salacious. Lovely stuff as always. Glwts
  3. Fantastic mix of comics at both cost and era, awesome thread Andy!
  4. This thread has been a joy to follow. The write-ups are so educational to someone who's still a newb to so much of comic history.
  5. To change to a less flamey topic, I've been curious about seeing G/S/B change over time. The first two years I was here, there was silver age stuff all over the place, bronze, too. Maybe it was the movie hype. Lately, I see so much less silver age and so much more golden age. It's great. I love it. It's educational for me as I'm new to golden age and enjoying picking up books. Is this a trend others see? What do you think accounts for the shift here? And are golden age collectors less inclined to slabs? I see so many unslabbed GA books trade hands to eager buyers.
  6. Someone pointing it out would have been the thoughtful thing to do. Not aiming that at you, just speaking generally. When people instead assume the worst and make oblique comments about you, then point a comment at you, followed by a failure to admit their own blame while further faulting you for taking it personally: that's just a remarkable amount of stupid, and in this case stubbornness. Not surprising coming from jsilverjanet. I started avoiding him after seeing some of his behavior in the mod action thread and elsewhere. It's low on the list of things to worry about. Usually, I just steer clear of the people who get into that. That's why I'm not terribly worried about burning bridges with people I avoided anyhow. Generally, I'm pretty easy going, but I can also be impatient and short-tempered at times. Sometimes, the stupid is just too much. But hey, whatever. My mommy says I'm a good boy, so that's good enough for me.
  7. So what you mean is: Hey, I know I said you are guilty, and contradicted that with you're taking it too personal even though I had included you openly, but since you called me out on that mistake, I'm just going to burn a bridge instead, and respond with dank memes like a preenager. Well done, sir. Impress me again.
  8. Well, as long as you when you make a mistake about someone's else mistake you make sure to blame that person instead of owning up, then yeah, you got it.
  9. Put another way, you might have replied: Hi there. Instead of asking, I accused. Sorry for painting you with the ugly language of "total disregard" and then telling you that you are taking things "too personal" when I made an unwarranted personal attack and was called out on it. Dude, don't be stubborn. It's easy: ask first, assume second, apologize when you should.
  10. Be wary your minor slipups, folks. The self-appointed board police are out and about this weekend
  11. Here's another variation: Hey man, sorry I accused you of total disregard when it was just an oversight on your part. No harm intended. Or: Hey man, my mistake, guess I could've asked first instead of jumping to conclusions. As opposed to, "you are guilty of it." C'mon, surprise me....
  12. Hey, you're the one misconstruing "casual oversight" as "total disregard". Sorry, for taking your specific language as personal. How about you, oh I dunno, ask first and assume later?
  13. The FF 48 will remain available until tonight, I'd guess maybe 10ish CST? If anyone buys it before then, I will include this FF 50, CGC 6.5 Q (page 10 missing, incomplete, does not affect story). Shipping is included to US buyers.

  15. Assuming you mean me, it wasn't disregard, just not thinking. Hey, here's an idea: how about a friendly pm instead of an oblique "get off my grass, kids" post here? I had the IG books in my Warlock thread, and just copy pasted things over. But jumping to conclusions seems to be in style now, so hey, knock yourself out.
  16. That strikes me as time-consuming. Are you pretty proficient with Adobe PS?
  17. Masters of the Universe #1, 9.2, $15

  19. Fantasy Masterpiece lot, $16 SOLD! Great for reading
  20. All-Out War #1, 8.5, $14 Looks like a 9.2, but there's a pinch dent on the top corner that may not be visible in the scan.
