  1. I keep buying sweet sweet comics from namisgr. You should, too. Thanks for the Strange Tales. I inch ever closer!
  2. Good communication, good transaction, thanks!
  3. Got some lovely items from Mark in his last sales thread. Teen Titans, Journey into Mystery, Thor, Nick Fury, lovely stuff. Thank you, sir!

Exactly what I experienced, and books as described. My collecting fetish needs the first AND second editions, and the first annual, so now I can settle in with Luke Cage for a time. Thank you, sir!
  5. Dumb So there's no place to put honest feedback that aren't kudos' but not probation list worthy? Things that other potential buyers should look out for... Such as.. I dunno just an example.... receiving a book that is slightly off the advertised grade.. Just asking One thing that discourages this kind of feedback is that much of it will be subjective and argumentative, neither grading nor packaging nor wait times are absolutes. Even in PL discussions there have been numerous cases where no clear consensus is reached on the degree of fault. The danger therefore is that such a "mixed" feedback thread would deteriorate quickly into mud slinging. Yeah, I think that's it. Look at what we see in other threads and how people argue. It would just get ugly.
  6. Well, people have removed feedback before. Instead of negative feedback, what if you posted "No feedback" in a kudos thread? Is that just trying to semanticificate your way around the rules too much?
  7. Personally, I think the number of abbreviations will overwhelm a lot of folks. Maybe the most commonly used could be grouped at the top?
  8. Got me a Hulk 102. Shipped fast, shipped secure, just what the doctor ordered.
  9. 1 bid, smells fishy Especially when this is sitting out there, still higher than I thought: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Inhumans-1-NM-9-2-/380883790033?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item58ae7168d1 I've bought several times from QC. (But you really need to assess the books well...sometimes their grades are spot on, sometimes dreadfully off). Anyhow, they are tight with what they accept via offers. Don't expect much of a discount. Go to their website, then you can make an offer on their non-ebay price. Anyhow, yes, that doesn't really address your post, other than that I really wouldn't expect QC to shill their own auction, which is really a BIN in this case. They just don't bother accepting much below their asking price.
  10. What part of "chainmail bikini" is confusing? Good point.
  11. Overall, I like these suggestions. Blue header colors are distracting. Bold, black headers are cleaner and direct. I like simplifying the general guidelines into a numbered list. I also like the leaner language.
  12. Red Sonja reminds me of Doc Savage in that her popularity has persisted, although she's never gone mainstream. She's made it across different publishers and eras. So here's my question: what do you folks think accounts for her enduring popularity?
  13. Awesome, thanks! \ Why 24? That's why I'm asking...have one I've had my eye on, but I'm a tad hesitant... Has a ton going for it. Not only being her first *full* appearance, she dominated the story and stole the show from Conan. It's also Smith's last and finest mainstream work (Red Nails is his finest overall masterpiece). The issue took top honors that year as best comic story as well, and still holds up today with repeated readings. The best way to read it though, is Marvel Treasury Edition 14. Reprinted in oversize format with all the racy scenes restored and unedited from Conan 24.

  15. So for you true Red Sonja fan club members. What is her true first appearance? First full appearance? One of the Conan books? Os was it a King Kull comic? I know I've seen the two Conans marked as such but I feel like I've seen the King Kull, too.
  16. I want to make my opinion known, but I don't know my opinion. Regardless, it's invaluable.
  17. NICE! He would be a great pick How about Viggo Mortensen, John Cusack, Ed Norton... Wouldn't be his first go at a magician. The Illusionist
  18. First 10 of 20. Overall very pleased with results this time around.
  19. Ooh, want me a Monsters on the Prowl like that one. Lovely stuff, sir.
  20. Sold two Steranko Captain Americas to Ben and went smooth as pudding. Thank you, sir!
