  1. Jeff picked up a few books in my most recent sales thread and was spot-on excellent to work with. I'd happily transact with this boardie again.
  2. Wow, both the 6.0 and the 7.0 look fantastic for the grade.
  3. Hector sold me a lovely Hero for Hire comic, was a pleasure to do business with as always.
  4. Super friendly boardie to work with. Made things easy when he got some Swamp Thing comics from me. If you're hesitant about shipping to Canada, don't be, especially for this gent. Thank you, sir!
  5. So I have a nice first teen titans that I'd love to trade for a hero for hire #1. Is that a wtb thread or a g/s/b thread?
  6. Very nice, Harvey! Just got this in the mail today, thanks to BlazingBob. Love this cover. Witching Hour comics were some of the first I ever read, thanks to my cousin, Rob.
  7. I can see JIM 83 levels. And there are, currently, about 400 less ST 110s on the census than JIMs. Of course, people are submitting ST 110 as we speak.
  8. it's supposed to be the former and not the latter I disagree. I'm just trying to make sure you noobs get it right.
  9. Is this thread to discuss probation nominations or just probation in general...
  10. I reached out in Ben's C2E2 thread and he tracked down an Adventure Time cover for me, asked for a very reasonable finder's fee, and shipped fast and packaged well. And super friendly to boot. I'd happily transact with him again.
  11. Ya, very cool scene. This was one of the first Miller titles I picked up when I got back into collecting. I enjoyed rereading it. The visuals and inks are just fantastic.
  12. The Buying Forums Gripe Thread! 1. If you solicit PMs in a WTB, have the courtesy to respond. 2. If you make an offer via PM and receive a reply, have the courtesy to respond. 3. I don't care if you were certain that you slabbed 7.0 was going to come back 7.5 or 8.0. It's a 7.0 that you're selling. 4. I don't care if you might move your goods to ebay. Just close your thread. 5. "It's a 6.0, but it will press to a 7.0 or higher!" ~submitted by beaumonts (thumbs u 6. "Last chance before I resub this badboy myself!" ~submitted by THE_BEYONDER 7. How about the old "looks like a 9.8 its just (insert missing marvel value stamp, popped staple, etc)" ~jaybuck43 8. the comic shipped so perfectly that i need a combination and the mission impossible music playing in the background to pry the comic from the amounts of cardboard and industrial shipping tape ~jsilverjanet 9. if you receive books bought here, send a PM saying so ~paperheart 10. "Less than what I paid for it!" What you paid is irrelevant

  16. I dunno. I've stayed out of this one, but I'll chime in. You probably could have still saved face, and maybe still can. But overcharging on shipping is just a form of price gouging. I don't mind overpaying a bit on shipping as people have to procure supplies. We all recycle a lot, but at some point you're buying packaging tape or markers or printer paper or something. But otherwise, I'll refund someone even a small amount (except for the $.05 to my recent Canadian buyer...sorry, gotta stick it to the Canucks, keep them in their place!). I do that because I've been shanked on shipping, mostly on eBay, and it's a crappy thing to do. Anyhow, I don't have much of a stake in this, but stepping back from the issue and not getting caught up in a frenzy of posting against a mass of like-minded boardies might serve you well.

  18. you filed a paypal complaint without ever PM'ing me first, the MD1 was an oversight. i was under the impression that the $30 you requested to be refunded would be adequate restitution. i do admit i intended to send you the MD1 9.6, but as we know that is worth double the value of the original $30 we agreed upon for the raw, not including shipping and slab costs. so that was my reasoning for putting it on ebay, while still paying you in full what you had requested I pay to make up for my mistake. either way, its fine, you guys can keep me on the PL. i apologize to wolf pack for my behavior and to all those who supported me. Someone posted evidence that suggests you are shilling your ebay auctions again. Is this the case?
