  1. Awesome pick ups. Love his Ends of the Earth run. -J.
  2. Congrats on the pick up. You should post your copy in the thread. This and the 667 Dell'otto are definitely the crown jewels of the ASM modern variant run. -J.
  3. Good lord man, that's quite a bounty. Loving that Supes/Bats 7. -J.
  4. Looks like another raw copy just went for $1300... http://item.ebay.co.uk/112046784909?item_hash4=42c8fb89&LH_Complete=1&LH_BIN=1&LH_BO=1&_ipg=200&_pgn=1&rc=nt&rmvSB=true ...looks like it was a boardie owned copy. -J.
  5. Picked up another book from frank in this year's VCC. Thanks again Frank! Regards, -Jay
  6. +1 A 2.5 with "cream/ow" on the label sold for $10.8k last July .... -J.
  7. Very nice ! Never seen that one before. -J.
  8. You've got another data point: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BLACK-PANTHER-1-2009-NYCC-J-SCOTT-CAMPBELL-PARTIAL-SKETCH-VARIANT-CGC-9-8-WHITE-/301995563782?hash=item4650569b06%3Ag%3A0rAAAOSw-4BXbYwX&nma=true&si=1pFy9oUeOZ9uXAG5oN%252FJCz2HGsM%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 -J.
  9. So...not 3K they advertised then? They don't put up all 3k copies for sale online at once, plus they also keep some for in-store sales. +1 The print runs didn't change. -J.
  10. I'm not entirely sure that isn't the point. -J.
  11. They actually tried her animated series outfit, it's really about what looks good on film and of course David Ayers's style, studded belts and such. Besides, Hollywood doesn't like masks, because people will go to the movies to see their favorite actor's mug on screen Wasn't the story that the actress just didn't like the real outfit ? That she was the one who preferred to wear that dumb t-shirt and those stupid looking high heeled shoe/boots? Well at least most of her depictions in the comics for now have her with blonde pigtails with blue and link tips so we can at least somewhat recognize the character.... -J.
  12. This movie is a financial failure. All that international money is just lipstick on a pig and Fox knows that. Which is why you're hearing the murmurs of a Marvel/Fox team up again. -J.
  13. I'm still just trying to figure out what the the "Brexit" has to do with Spider-Man. -J.
  14. How long does it take for CGC to update the census? I don't think my 9.8 copy that I received today is on there yet. It depends on how you submitted it. Three new copies (2, 9.8's) just got added this week. -J.
  15. That's a nice complement to that 6.0 sale for $8000 in April. -J.
  16. That's a fantastic cover. Very nice ! -J.
  17. If you're talking about the black panther sketch, the book was still only selling for $200 in April, so the current census numbers are still meaningless. And anecdotally , every person I know of with a copy has it in multiples. -J. I wonder why sales still seems sparse. It would seem right now would be the time to sell if you have multiple copies. Unless everyone is still getting their multiple copies graded. Many copies have changed hands on eBay over the last few months already and now the slabs are starting to hit. The book is either being spec'd, hoarded or both. -J.

  19. Nice ! What about your other four copies ? -J. I bet 8.5 SS and 9.2 SS I think those are somebody else's... -J. Don't think so -J.

  21. the 510 sketch is still the ultimate Campbell . Wolverine 1. -J.
  22. It was a $5 book less than a year ago. Then several people started saying "look it's rare it's rare it's rare, only 5 copies on census !" Apparently not remembering that cheap-o books don't often get slabbed. Then multiple copies started popping up all over the place, severely testing the myth of its rarity. There have been (at least) 10 copies of them on eBay in the last four months alone, and the (now two) blue labels on the census have both been sold by their owners in the last month. Red flags abound. -J.
