33 is the "toughest" to sell. 35 one of the easiest (with 31). But there had been more 33 on the market historically due to the origin content and ospg designation. But in last 10 yrs demand has skyrocketed for 31/35/29 due to covers. They are all "available" but 33s, when not auctioned , seem to sit the longest and hence are the most available This may have been true in recent years past, I have no doubt, but the last two non-auctioned Tec 33's I saw available on CLink and CC's exchange sold within days, and I snatched mine off ebay within 24 hours of the seller listing. As of now there is not one available online that I know of. Whereas there is currently a 29 on mycomicshop/ebay for months, and a 35 on ebay as well, with at least three other 35's I've seen sell in the last six months alone. Gator is definitely a far more savvy expert than I, but in my layman experience I have seen the scarcity-common line more like this recently (of the big four, excluding 27): 31, 33, 29, 35. -J.

A 6.0 would be in the 8-9k retail range...maybe 10k A 6.5 likely 10-12 A 7.0 likely 15k range Depends on eye appeal and pq etc. Thanks Gator that's super advice, and very glad I asked. Hi there Gator! You're obviously The Man on here, what with your very own thread and nearly 350 pages! Wow. Mind if I ask you what the FMV on an All Star 3 would be in a 6-7 range in your opinion? We've talked many days on how the 29, 31, and even 35 have been selling at higher price points for several years now. 33 is still cool. Is that belief backed up by recent sales data? I sold my 3.5 Tec 29 in the low 20s earlier this year which it traded hands a few times since at slightly more. And yes, the 31 has its own gravitational pull as do all quintessential covers I don't think I'll ever sniff a 31 in this lifetime . But yes, I did try to locate the sales in the 1.5-2.0 range along with the two comps in the 7.5-8.0 range. I just found the recent comparable sales data on the three books to be a bit intriguing. Not that 29 or 35 are losing ground, but 33 is perhaps making up a little. -J. 29s seem to have lost some steam the past year or so. I've seen a decent amount of copies circulate publicly. 31s have been far and few on the open market the past several months. 7.5 Tec 35 sold for $63k this evening. Pretty strong price. That was a strong price on the CC auction for the 35 tonight. CC was good with their marketing on it as well: "second highest graded" in the ad and such. How would you reconcile that price against the nearly $69K for the 8.0, 33 on Heritage a couple weeks back? Also a strong price for that one? It seems to me when there are a bunch of one or the others of these things in any given year, it quells demand for them quite a bit. Right now (and usually) 31 seems to be the least available. For awhile 33 seemed readily available. I've seen a bunch of 35's and 29's this year. -J.

Just love this cover, congrats Bill that is a keeper! I sometimes think if Kane drew the 33 as a night cover loaded with a full moon and rolling fog (like the 29 and 31), it would be in ranks with the 29/31 ....Or if one of the dudes in the car was holding a syringe to the other's neck. I personally dig all four of the "classic cover" pre Robin Tecs (29, 31, 33, 35). None of them come cheap, but I gave the 33 the nod for the first told 1930's Bats' "origin" story inside. -J.

The "white pages" designation is certainly a nice cherry, but I would have still picked it up with Tan, Dark Tan, Pink, Brittle, or whatever pages it had, just to get one that I could actually afford. -J.

pretty weak 8.0 I was thinking the same thing too. I don't like the centering as much as I wanted to. Too many tick marks on spine to warrant an 8.0. Seen better looking 7.0/7.5 copies ...and call me crazy but I would like to see a back cover scan without having to ask for it at anything near this price point. -J. Worst thing about Clink. I saw your post so I just went to see the results: Strange Tales #110 (Marvel, 1963) CGC FN- 5.5 Off-white to white pages: $1,553.50 Strange Tales #110 (Marvel, 1963) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Cream to off-white pages: $3,079.52 I don't wanna sell mine but that's a lotta money. The 5.5 got a good price. I think the 7.0 was a little low considering what their 8.0 just went for on there. But they both definitely got some late auction action. Nice to see the book is still chugging along though. -J.

But 8.0's aren't exactly falling out of the trees and a CR/OW book can easily come back an OW book or better on a resub if it really bothered someone that much. Me personally, I give PQ the least amount of weight on a label, so long as the pages aren't brittle or noticeably Tan on the edges. -J. There was a Showcase #4 CGC 8.0 that sold on CC for 29K & change. I was on the prowl for that one, but decided to go with an IH #1 CGC 8.0 White Mtn pedigree copy instead! That Hulk 1 was a sweet pick up, good job on that one. After hearing those GPA results, I am inclined to agree with you guys now, it will probably go a smidge under $30K. But it only takes two squirrels fighting over the same nut to push it past that. We shall see.... -J.
