  1. Purchased a nice slab at a great price and received it packaged very well!
  2. 2016 average for 9.4 is $370. That seems to be the sweet spot. 9.0 & 9.2 are about $200.
  3. Grant Morrison books do pretty well in general. I'm sure the news this week didn't hurt. Somebody stole this one though.
  4. As soon as I figure out Silk's staying power I will answer this one.
  5. What is the source of these designations? That's the much more relevant question, which also basically answers your question. I forgot, when Neal Adams was doing Batman they were classics right off the shelf.
  6. Tim Bradstreet is the king of Punisher (Modern, can't exclude Zeck)
  7. Better answer, ha. Is she the next Spider-Woman, more prominent or fade into history? what happened to alpha? or the sentry? What happened to Venom, Carnage, Winter Soldier? I wish it was as simple as saying there are no lasting characters from the last 20 years. Yup http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=7040027#Post7040027 Well, except that Sept 2013 wasn't back in the day . . . see if there is any discussion from about Sept. 2000 There's one in Comics General about the value of BA 12 that is much older. Looked but couldn't find it. Maybe it's this one, that isn't older: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=9634847&fpart=1
  8. I'm fine not seeing it again, I think it looks awful. what's wrong with the cover? when you see something that looks like street graffiti does it makes you angry and just can't look at it? Probably going to hate this one:
  9. I would like to think that Campbell hopes this happens with this sale and that more of these books get into collectors hands as opposed to flippers. However, at the end of the day, he gonna bank regardless. I think the majority of the customers who buy direct from Campbell are indeed the "flippers" who see it as an opportunity to get online and act fast to then turn around and sell them at a mark up after they've sold out. It's the historical sales precedent and sales that the flippers do that actually keeps that part of the industry alive, so in a way, for Campbell's own economic interests, his books are better off going to the flippers than the fans first, then the "frenzy" to buy (laws of supply and demand) will continue and he can also continue to push the envelope from selling at $9.99 to $14.99 to $19.99 to $24.99 to $49.99, then as in the case of the Venom issue, go from $150 up to $200 and have it still sell out within the hour. That in-itself may have him ponder... sell 1/2 of the inventory first, then hold back the 2nd half and price it at market value or start remarking them and charging a grip of cash. It's not exploitation or greed, it's simple business for both flippers and JSC. If the fans/collector's who want 'em stop buying and paying premiums, the laws of supply and demand may dictate a far different marketplace where short prints and variants cease to exist as they did not in the pre-Y2K era of collecting. Easy to track. There are 5 for sale and two sold as of now. Estimated about 80-90 of them sold total. So less than 10% flippers. They have not shipped yet and I know many wait until they have it in hand.
  10. I agree. This is nearly complete, which is why it doesn't look bad as far as successes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Marvel_Comics_superhero_debuts#2000s I'm with you, odds aren't too bad if Marvel is willing to give the character a book. Especially if she at some point either becomes Spiderwoman or marries Peter Parker, or both. Or Cindy Moon shows up in a Spidey movie (dump city baby!!)

  14. I don't feel that is a valid argument against Silk as she has been around for about two and half years compared to the 25 of Harley.
  15. Silk's origin is that she was bit the same time as Parker. I don't know more than that about her honestly, so I could be completely wrong. HQ is more dynamic and while was a team with Joker for a while (in her mind), has developed into much more. Also, her origin was CAUSED by the Joker.
  16. Pics for those more visually inclined: Batman #217 Batman #227 Batman #232 Batman #234 Batman #251 Detective Comics #395 Detective Comics #400 Detective Comics #405 Detective Comics #411 Brave & the Bold #85
  17. Didn't realize it sold for that much in that grade, thanks! I will say, I don't really think Korvac being in a movie will bump it that much. It's not a household name and at this point, I think a lot of people are done chasing movie characters for big money.
