  1. Stupid lemmings. Average of 2-4 sales a day for months....then 39 sales in the last 6 hours. Stupid lemmings. And they say the market isn't going to crash... Buying 25 year old books isn't what crashed the market. Just ask the guy I bought a case of Superman 75 3rd prints from a few months back. No, buying 25 year old books wasn't what crashed the market. It was buying new books that did it. What will crash the market this time...? Buying those same books, which are now 25 years old.... It's the cirrrrrrcle of liiiiiffffffe.... The same thought went through my mind but I was too lazy and inarticulate to post it. Having said that, I hope the market never crashes again and book prices keep going up, at least for the duration of my life (which makes me think of Homer talking to God - "You'll find out when you die" - "Ahh, I can't wait that long." - "You can't wait six months?" - "No, tell me now.") I'd prefer to regret not buying a BA 12 9.8 when I had the chance than try to house my family in a pile of long boxes. Maybe, maybe not. We are trying to apply the same formula to a different situation and still get the same answer. Head over to the Valiant thread where people have talked about just throwing away lots of books. Also, head to any quarter bin, pretty much guaranteed there will be some early Image and post-Unity Valiants in there. Well taken car of, of course. I think we have all seen high grade books that we didn't think had value sell for a nice price to people who wanted their childhood memories back.

  3. He was front and center on the first Multiversity book. Even had a solo variant cover homage to Action #1.
  4. You do realize that IMDB is like Wikipedia and can be edited by anybody? for example, the Hands of Shang-Chi movie Also, I don't think those characters would be who the unannounced characters would be.
  5. Something like this happened when that group first started up. The original beef was with Jimmy. Not sure if things got worked out... Link Considering Jimmy's earlier comment on regards to also onquiring about Darkstar, it's not too hard to figure out.
  6. Too logical for an Internet chat forum. Volume 5 #'s 1-25 is my recommendation. (thumbs u Great run, gets kind of weird after that like it was heading towards being an Invaders book but not really.
  7. 2nd & 3rd have been commanding a premium for awhile now. 1st prints are actually starting at $20 on the Bay now which is a first. I can already see what will happen when this season ends if Negan makes an appearance... Why would Negan appear this season, or even next? Have you ever figured out what issue in the comic are they on in relation to the show? They stick pretty close in terms of time structure while the story may not be the same.
  8. Rai #1 has like 4 printings and the 1st wasn't going for more than cover last I checked. There are LOTS of covers to the Rai #1 first printing. The 1:75 Aja variant sells for quite a bit more than cover price ($35 or so). http://www.ebay.com/itm/381183104092 There's also a Rai #1 Gold variant... which seems to be a popular collectible for Valiant now. It's basically impossible to get every Valiant variant, so some collectors are just trying to get every Gold. A 1:75 should be going for at least $75, IMO.
  9. Indeed they do Sold one for $40 at the Leesburg show on Sunday. Young woman came in and was GIDDY - no one else had one. Note, that's for 2 books. $20 for both those is a bargain.

  11. I could see that getting some heat It was hot a while back when people were speculating that she might be the new Thor. Now is the true definition of an outlier . You said the same thing about my last sale of this issue at $36 . . . Is it not? In the past 3 months there have been two that sold for $20 + ship and then then next closest is $9 + ship. I like 2nd and 3rd appearances when they go up in value because the 1st app get too expensive Waiting for Marvel Premiere 16 to take off.
  12. I don't expect post-Unity first appearance books like Bloodshot #6 to be able to sustain the high prices from the past week. There are just too many of them... and Ninjak probably isn't going to have 400,000 fans clamoring for a copy. If the first appearance of Doomsday is still under $100 for a CGC 9.8, it's hard to imagine the first appearance of Ninjak above $100 for a CGC 9.8. The print run on Bloodshot #6 is probably higher than Man of Steel #18. It is? It is http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=man+of+steel+17+cgc+9.8&rmvSB=true&LH_Complete=1&_from=R40&LH_Sold=1&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR1.TRC0.A0.H0.Xman+of+steel+18+cgc+9.8.TRS0&_nkw=man+of+steel+18+cgc+9.8&ghostText=&_sacat=0 Oh, 1st full Doomsday, gotcha.
  13. I think people were upset that Ellis only did the first 6 issues, although Brian Wood is no slouch either.

  16. They had a nice Suicide Squad #11 there for me on Friday for $3.50.
  17. Just found out is low print as well, but didnt really look into how many copies, at least the cover is cool. A low print in terms of what? Its low printed compared to earlier in the series when the book was selling over 30k copies, but it had a significantly larger print run than the previous lows in the series. 26,510 Jan 2014 22,677 Low for DC, but it's still above Justice League Dark surprisingly.
  18. Stuff like that isn't typically what sells books these days...unless it's Sleepwalker. Personally that doesn't interest me either.
  19. I think it's just the Deadpool Gauntlet series, which is a digital comic only. I think this is a first, what's her first printed appearance then? Her first print appearance is (if my reading of a calendar is right, which it is sometimes sketchy), the wedding issue (Deadpool 27) Everything prior to that was digital only. Going to submit my jump drive to get slabbed
  20. Decided to re-write all the website code last year... changed webhosting companies (also went from Windows to Linux) and decided to update the 1999 code I was using. Unfortunately, work and home (toddler) have gotten in the way of code-writing for my hobby. I really used to like looking at the print run numbers for each book on that site. I went back after it was redesigned and couldn't find that info. as easily. Is it still there?

  22. Thanks for the list! Thor 321 was hot for a little because people were thinking that Freya in that story was going to be the woman Thor, when in fact it was no relation to the Freyja mentioned in Thor #1. I would swap that with Thor 390 though. Howard the Duck #33 looks like the error version sells pretty well. Regular cover around $5.
