  1. Or they think that putting money towards the first appearance of the character in a book from the bronze age with a Neal Adams cover is a better "investment" than the first appearance of a successor in a book from the modern age where the character appears for a grand total of six issues. I would agree with that. The movie character cover is pretty bad. It could also be people who have wanted the book finally pulling the trigger before it gets out of control.
  2. They better hurry, John Stewart should show up any time now. Also, I guess we are just going to forget that Marvel has already targeted two white actors to audition for PP? Maybe they are trying to throw us off the case?
  3. I guess, personally i think people just don't know the difference.
  4. If you think 20 or 100 copies of a book means anything, you don't have a firm grasp on what print run numbers actually mean.
  5. Why would that book disappear? It's not the correct character. I guess that would take some investigation though, which most don't bother to do.
  6. Collected before it was popular... Currently only signed copy on the census. Except that there is nothing on the label.......
  7. The funny part about Dreadstar is that it was optioned last year for a film. I guess it fell through. So what's the chances TV is any better?
  8. Yup, first as a regular person. #197 is the character Zoom.
  9. Has anybody ever emailed the woman from Atomic? I emailed her and told her what was happening and that AA in general was getting a bad reputation, but she never responded.
  10. Yea, WonderCC and Second Genesis are no-no's I've had a couple successful orders with MPalish.
  11. The crowd actually created her, They wanted her to be female and Todd just drew what they crowd suggested they do. It was the crowd's decision to make her female. So it only took Marvel 20 years to catch up to what people really wanted, women characters forefront.
  12. It's been hot for over a year. Wouldn't mind seeing a GPA breakdown of highs/lows over the past two. In Nov. one sold for $250
  13. Always preferred the Ramos variant over the JSC Black Cat. Ramos...eww
  14. This type of practice is becoming standard for many comic sellers on Atomic Avenue.
  15. There are truckloads of comics worth less than Spawn #1.
  16. I don't think it was years as the facts and illusions set has a date of 1992 on it. The vhs comic set must have packaged after the August SDCC though because that's where the footage is from but I have no idea when the mini comic was published. It's something that definitely warrants further research for Spawn fans. Mini-Comic measuring 4x7.5 inches and published by Gladstone. It is released as part of the promotional VHS at the August 1992 San Diego Comic Convention, namely "Todd McFarlane's Comic Book 'Facts & Illusions'" and "Todd McFarlane's Lotus". The VHS recorded date is 1993. Assuming this is correct, http://spawncollection.blogspot.com/2010/01/1993.html
  17. Green Arrow #40 saw a small push from Brick appearing on multiple episodes of Arrow.
  18. Not really, probably about 0.1% of what was originally made. Yeah because stacks of those things are lying around everywhere now, ya mutt.

  20. DC Direct Currents, hahaha, no way...wait, what were we talking about? DC Direct Currents What it's actually sold for is a little more relevant: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?rmvSB=true&_from=R40%7CR40&_nkw=dc+direct+currents+preacher&_in_kw=1&_ex_kw=&_sacat=0&LH_Sold=1&_udlo=&_udhi=&_samilow=&_samihi=&_sadis=15&_stpos=&_sargn=-1%26saslc%3D1&_salic=1&_sop=12&_dmd=1&_ipg=100&LH_Complete=1 I agree 100%, but I will say that the usual trend is that there are some listed very cheap by a seller that has thousands of books listed. Those obviously go initially, then the big dogs are left. Agreed, asking is not selling price.
