  1. Who cares about any of the characters as long as it makes you some money? Really? This message board is going down the toilet if this is the new mantra of members. Things to do... Try and stay out of comics general, AND the copper area. I think you are in the wrong thread.
  2. Prototype means a basis to start from for a copy.
  3. Because that was the first time Latour drew him. What if you interpreted "prototype" as "inspiration", does that help? Just. Stop. Sorry, forgot this was the internet. No room for logic.
  4. It the buyer did not mistake what he was buying.....that's crazy! Glad I have #1-110, I would hate spending big money on reprints. You need not worry. You own everything. This book guides for about 4 bucks in the current Overstreet. I could see it going for double to triple Guide in VF because of movie mayhem...but over 20 times Guide? What movie mayhem? Also, "guide" is outdated the minute it's published. I love shops that go by Overstreet.
  5. MARVEL TALES #98 (1978) REPRINTS KEY AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #121 DEATH OF GWEN STACY $78.00 http://www.ebay.com/itm/MARVEL-TALES-98-1978-REPRINTS-KEY-AMAZING-SPIDER-MAN-121-DEATH-OF-GWEN-STACY-/281351306547?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item4181d83d33&nma=true&si=Fp%252BHVBmYFR90g3n%252Bkzx18yRMlK4%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  6. $7.55 is a good sell for a VF/NM copy. Fixed the next part for you too.

  8. Yes, I agree. That was the issue where they created the middle-aged redneck. That character also died, btw...and he appears much younger in Scalped, so...figure that one out. It is crazy how a blurb kicked into a full scale ebay phenomenon. Funny but absolutely crazy. We used to do this as an exercise when I was in grade school. The teacher would write down a fact on a piece of paper and show it to the first student. The 1st student would tell a 2nd student. This would continue until it got to the last kid. The last kid would stand in front of the class and let everybody know what the teacher wrote down. It was usually about 4 miles off. The teacher would then read the page out loud. The teacher was trying to explain the importance of getting your facts straight. It's called "telephone" wow, outdated yet relevant
  9. if he's making anywhere between $5-10K monthly, that's a normal full time job for most people. Of course you gotta take out taxes and purchase cost and ebay fees, but that's a sound living for many people in the US. If you can do that and you like/love it, more power to you! Agreed, a hobby that pays is not a job if you can pay for your hobby with profits. Hard to do selling $5 at a time, but volume can alleviate that.
  10. I would think that someone that sells $10k/month has it "down pat." Peace, Chip http://www.ebay.com/csc/chips-comics/m.html?_ipg=50&_sop=13&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc
  11. which is why I can't figure out why the FCBD issue isn't selling for me....I mean it IS the first appearance right? FCBD was at the beginning of May... #2 is already out. I think #1 might have come first. I could be wrong on this though. Correct #1 was released April 30th.
  12. I guess you didn't learn anything from the Cap 2 movie.
  13. I think that's the first cgc. Two SS sold so far, one for $240, one $260
  14. How on earth are those going for that much?! What is the Key Batman Beyond? What do you mean, from a series of a book with Batman Beyond? It's really the same issue.
  15. What is it "worth" then? Because paper and a few staples isn't worth squat.
  16. One of a kind I thought Punisher Kills the Marvel Universe had a 2nd print of the 2nd print, but I can't find any info. online.
  17. If people only knew how to use the internet, they would really save themselves some money. Original Batman Beyond is starting to really catch some heat now: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=batman+beyond&LH_Sold=1&_osacat=900&_from=R40&LH_Complete=1&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xbatman+beyond+1&_nkw=batman+beyond+1&_sacat=900
  18. That's Jim Lee's first X-Men work, not his first work. It'd have more potential if Marvel hadn't systematically eroded the X-Men comic franchise over the last 20 years with a combination of poor stories and overexposure. I thought he did a backup story in Xmen classics? Racking my brain. Coming up with nothing. May have to do some research. Classic X-Men #39 And his first comic work: A guy at last year's Boston Con had a short box full of these. They are not easy to find, I should have bought them all. My LCS has one of these for fairly cheap. I may have to pick it up. There are a decent number on eBay asking $30-40, but there haven't been any recently that have sold for those prices.
  19. Same thing that happens in an NFL game when a shoe pops out of a pile of players. Invariably, some dumb lineman thinks it's a football and dives on it.
  20. There are different options on multiple item shipping if you have a store setup. A store costs a monthly fee.
  21. The whole second season of Arrow was about Brother Blood then the tie into Deathstroke.
