  1. Here, i've drafted the PL description you can use after the 3 days are up. @nocutename is hereby added to the probation list because @Bio-Rupp wouldn't let her back out of a $12 purchase. Short and sweet and gives all the information anyone needs to know.
  2. I already said I have added her to my personal list and would not deal with her.
  3. Like I said before, I appreciated the PSA. I did read that thread. It was about $10. This one is about $12. I look forward to the one next year about $14.
  4. Like I said before. It qualifies for the PL based on the rules. If it was me I would suck it up and pay for the book I purchased. As to where does it end? Somewhere after $12.
  5. It's very related! Both situations involve @Bio-Rupp trying to force a sale of $10 or $12 when a buyer asked to be let out of the transaction because they didn't want the one book shipped. Were the buyers wrong under the rules? Absolutely. Did Bio-Rupp respond in a reasonable manner? No. Is all of this trouble worth $10 or $12? No. But that's just my opinion.
  6. In that thread @Comical Situations had purchased more than $1,000 from you in prior sales. Then in a separate sale he only found one book that he wanted which was $10. He didn't want to move forward with that $10 transaction because of the shipping. You then raised a stink and told him he had to abide by his . While you were technically correct, did it make sense to burn a bridge with a longstanding customer over $10? You want to know what the correct response from you should have been when he didn't want to finish that $10 deal? You should have said, "No worries, forget it." You know what would have happened after that? Nothing bad, because you would have been acting reasonably. He probably would have purchased from you again in the future. It was $10. Now it's $12. Is all the aggravation worth it?
  7. It's $12. Like I said earlier, I'm happy for the PSA that this buyer is difficult, but it is pretty much NEVER a good idea to try and force a buyer to make a purchase. Yes, you gave away the book after she said she'd send you the $12 anyway, but, you should not have given it away before getting paid. She had just broken her word by back tracking on the purchase, and then you're surprised when she back tracks on sending you the $12 after you gave away the book. Chalk it up as a loss. The thread is here as a warning to others. Putting her on the Probation List over $12 devalues and diminishes the List. My
  8. Trying to force a buyer to pay is tricky because they could always return it. Trying to force a sale of $12 is a gigantic waste of time. At some point people need to act like adults and just move on. This is not the first time that @Bio-Rupp has tried to force a sale over $12 or less. If you check out the below thread, you'll see that @Bio-Rupp blew up a relationship with a customer who had previously purchased more than $1,000 worth of books when the buyer decided he wanted to back track on a single $10 purchase to avoid the $14 shipping. Common sense and being reasonable goes a long way in transactions. @nocutename acted unprofessionally in her interaction here, but @Bio-Rupp also raises red flags with his lack of reasonableness here. It's $12. Chalk it up, add to your personal list, and move on. It's not that complicated!!!
  9. I said it qualifies under the rules but I don’t think it is worthy of being included. My opinion.
  10. I think it definitely qualifies for PL under the rules. I think it is not PL worthy given the dollar amount. But I appreciate the PSA of this thread.
  11. I agree with you. We are talking about $12. I don't think this is PL worthy but there is no way I would ever deal with this buyer. There's a reason I keep a personal list, many of whom I put on ignore so I don't forget, so I'm at least happy that this thread was created so I could find out about this buyer.
  12. Absolutely bonkers. Anyone who deals with this person is out of their mind.
  13. Were you looking to purchase a book or taking a survey? This isn't complicated. Don't bring that semantics nonsense here.
  14. Stay cool. Send him the list of the small books now and have him decide. Then you will be removed from the list.
  15. I agree. I did not like the flippant and nasty remarks coming from TCC. What I didn't like about Polonsky's post was the reference to how easy paypal is and how he's had so many easy paypal transactions when this all started with him sending payment as a check. The irony was off-putting to me. I agree that Polonsky should be refunded ASAP.
  16. Let me preface this by saying that Top City is in the wrong here. It also appears that he has acknowledged his mistakes and attempting to make things right. I will say that I think the discourse could be better from all sides. I find the above post a little rich given that Polonsky initially sent his payment by check (with the expectation of shipment prior to the check's arrival) and is now talking of the "ease and simplicity" of paypal. We should all remember that Polonsky initially wanted the book shipped quickly so he could flip it to his third party buyer, and then once the third party backed out Polonsky then decided he no longer wanted the book. I think its important to remember here that neither @Top City Comicsnor @Polonsky are 100% blameless. So I find the snide remarks distasteful. As to @BuscemasAvengers he actually is 100% blameless and I hope he is made whole ASAP. It sounds like things are progressing in the right direction. My
  17. I’m still waiting for the poster to apologize for alleging CGC intentionally gave him lower grades as punishment. That was too far.
  18. I agree that he should have. I also think it was unreasonable for the buyer to change his mind and ask for a refund 2 weeks after the deal was agreed to. The deal was agreed to on the 18th and buyer demanded a refund on the 1st. It is not lost on me that in the interim the buyer’s own third party client backed out. While buyer claims he would have been happy to keep the books even if his third party client backed out, the fact that buyer chose to cancel the deal 2 weeks after agreeing to it, but only after his own client backed out, looms over this entire transaction. As I said before, both parties made mistakes, but I think buyer had no right to cancel the deal when he did. Another moral of the story, don’t enter into transactions for third parties.
  19. True, but if time was really of the essence for the buyer asking for a book to be shipped BEFORE payment was received I would expect the buyer to make sure to provide his shipping information to facilitate that shipping.
