  1. Actually the buyer should pay based on the terms of the sellers thread. The 30 days is if you want to nominate for PL.. For example if you state that payment is due within 48hrs and no other agreement was made extending the payment terms you would not be in the wrong for messaging the buyer and canceling the sale, and reselling. The PL is to force either a buyer or seller to complete the transaction. If you do want to wait 30 days you would then need to message the buyer the with your intent to nominate to PL.
  2. He basically accused one or more boardies of attempting to ruin his eBay business, by stating he overgraded and shills his auctions. A boardie, who he said has disparaged him here, apparently bought some books and he didn't like that as he assumed the boardie would say he overgraded them and leave him negative feedback. Some of us thought he should ship the books anyway and post images here and we could determine if his grading was accurate and if the boardie(s) in question just had an axe to grind with him. His thread was definitley over the top and preemptive in nature.
  3. Question for the OP - Why is your friend who has been collecting only the very best copies of comics over a 47 year period asking you for help on this? Surely he knows or should have a good sense of what his options are being in the hobby for so long. Not sure what your background in collecting is however if he truly needs guidance direct him over here so relevant questions can be asked and answered from the source. You can also do a search on these boards as this exact topic has come up from time to time and has been answered.
  4. That sticker is a joke and a lame marketing grab, although a thread exists on how to remove with a little WD-40, and it works well.
  5. Jim bought 2 Planets from me, easy to deal with, fast payment, great communication. Can't ask anymore of a boardie. Hope to deal with him again.
  6. Planet Comics 41 CGC 7.5 OW/WP Cool bondage/Medusa cover Price $900 Sold to JustJimN
  7. Right, and the lack of gratitude by the thread author fits his board persona. Shocking that Raze actually felt the need to make an apology to him.
  8. Not to mention the minimum # of people requirement that need to raise hands and say "present" before any books are posted. LMAO. @jsilverjanet you and I are already on his list from the "stick-up" thread. I couldn't be happier.
  9. I would say this is not a suitable shipping practice no matter where it is sent to. Bad packing is bad packing. No excuse in my book.
  10. Oh, Wow! Good to know. Glad it ultimately went to good home and completed your copy. You are in a very elite club owning this book that most of us plebs can only dream about. It really is a nice presenting copy. Big Congrats!
  11. A BC actually sold on eBay I think around a year and a half to 2 years ago. I was watching it at the time, was auctioned under paper based items by someone who admittedly in the listing was unsure what it was. I recall it selling for a little north of 2k at the time. If I had the funds at the time I would have bid as I think that was a steal. I really wish I could find that listing.
  12. Get in touch with Kagins auction house, I think they are one of only a handful of places that had authenticated a photo of him that sold at auction. If those are the real deal, you just hit the motherload. Even though this is a comic book forum, I'd sure like to hear how this turns out. https://www.kagins.com/
  13. +1 I'm curious if eBay eats this cost or they try and deduct from you. If the latter I'd be kicking and screaming. If it shows delivered even without sig confirm I don't know how they can debit you for this.
  14. That idea is just cray cray IMO. I would tell him flat out how ridiculous this is and wish him luck... He might come to his senses once he sits on these for a period of time with his scheme with 0 sales. If you are really interested just tell him to allow you to look and everything and that you realize it's an all or nothing deal but need to see the collection in it's entirety to make an informed decision. He obviously has a price in mind so I see no harm in having him just spit that out, let you review and you say yes, no or counter. There will always be other opportunities that come along with better terms than this nutso proposition. If you do happen to go, please let us know how it turns out.
