  1. So why don't you go and throw him some business if you feel so sorry for him? Not sure if you read the entire thread or not, but "manning" up way after the fact only when called out on shady business practices coupled with posting inaccurate information on how the deal(s) played out and what was/was not communicated does not deserve a high five IMO. He's always got eBay.
  2. Thanks very much for that info. If I'm ever around where he is setting up will be sure to visit if in the area. Would love to catch up with him some day.
  3. Love these stories. Reminds me of when I first started collecting at around 12 years old back in the mid 80s. My dad would drive me and my friends to the local comic conventions in NJ typically at a Ramada Inn or the like. There was this one dealer, Mario who would set-up, he had super long hair, and sometimes he'd have his girlfriend with him and we would always hang out and talk with him about comics. He also taught me how to generally determine the grade of a comic. He would throw me free comic books from time to time. One time he grabbed me and said "I'm going to have lunch, can you watch my booth and sell some comics?" It was such a cool experience going back there and "working". One of the many memorable things that stands out. Always wondered what happened to him.
  4. Very nice! what is that in his jacket pocket? Candy bar?
  5. What about Dr. X and JunkDrawer? haven't seen them around. I recall them being pretty active.
  6. Which makes things sort of weird since they obviously have the hots for one another. At least they are not siblings.
  7. I edited.. Prize #50: Fables 1-7 first prints. Issues 1 and 2 have a crunch in the top corner that would benefit from a press. Issues 3-7 are 9.0+ - donated by Red84

  9. I think I'm right around there, competing with this frankenboardie that goes by the name Kavoak...
  10. Just wanted to share, had it listed on the boards at $450 for a couple days with no takers. Then with a 15% reduction still not takers. Listed on the bay for $550 and it sold within 24hrs at that price.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/302418142436?ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1561.l2649
  11. When you have pressing and grading both done, say standard, is it 15 business days for each service or total time? I'm guessing each but wanted to ask if anyone knew. thx.
  12. Please share any info you learn on this from them. I vaugely recall the owner of that site being a member here on the boards but might be mistaken.
  13. If you've followed the thread from the beginning seller stated on this thread that after deal was done with GG via PM he instructed GG to post the "take it per PM" on his sales thread. It turns out that was not true(he did not request a follow up post) and basically used that as the basis for selling to another buyer "for a better offer". this is the piece that does not sit well with me(and others)
