  1. Now that's what I call a funny book! Where on earth did you find this gem?
  2. What generation slab was this? Not sure what people are calling each these days (1st, 2nd, 3a(without well), 3b(with well))?
  3. This is a crazy. If you got the books back directly from the thief, he must have confessed? Is he/she claiming that they didn't take the few that you have yet to recover, or he sold them? If you reported the remaining books stolen was he/she interviewed by authorities? I'd think there's enough there for an arrest and charges. sorry for all the questions but I find the story intriguing.
  4. Sorry this happened. I don't know all the backstory but if Pablo bought from the thief one would assume he has the name of the thief? Did you get this info from him and get the authorities involved?
  5. Yes, that's my point we know the first was a joke but the OP does have a legit grievance, and others seem to have gotten that too. You're just rubbing salt when you shouldn't be but to each their own. Still you PIF killer.
  6. Does the 3 include or exclude Kav? I wouldn't pay too much attention to him as he's typically "joking" Except when he's not. Every forum has 1 (or 10) just like em. Plus he's under tremendous stress from the grading contest. Kav - Do you even buy comics here on the boards?
  7. @Ovrclck Well that turned out to be $20 well spent! Congrats!
  8. FTR and my last comment on this topic. I don't fault you for offering up a defense based on information seller provided to you that you believed to be true, however the seller contradicted himself right here on this thread with a critical piece of information. He himself explicitly stated that he requested via PM @Grantley Goddard post the after terms were agreed to then basically backtracked to "assumed" when called out on that. Newbie mistake? maybe, but taking all evidence into account I'm calling shenanigans. IMO classic example of the cover-up being worse than the crime.
  9. Appreciate the clarification. It was an important component, at least in my mind to understand clearly.
  10. Lesson learned, I guess. No offense but I still find it troubling how @Columbia Comics put forth a false narrative of what looks to have actually happened. He seemed to be stating facts you gave him then you come on and say "assumed". If you gave CC bad info on how things went down he's probably owed an apology from you.
  11. I'd like to see a PM that supports the 3rd item re: Pablo explicitly told @Grantley Goddard to put up a take it in thread after terms were agreed to. I have asked and have been asked to do same to close the deal. If this was explicitly requested I might be of a different opinion than my original post. Book is tainted now none-the-less but really curious as to whether this exists in PM or you were just told that.
  12. It actually looks like the buyer, Omaha, said I'll take per PM and did not put an unconditional if you accepted the first deal with GG it really should be honored, IMO. Time stamps on each of the PMs will tell the order of events.
  13. Top right of back cover looks a little cut off from scan but from what I see I would give a 5.0/5.5, for me falls a little short to get a fine.
  14. I still think @thirdgreenham and @sckao should get dibs on 1st and 2nd prize picks. Just sayin...
  15. I would have matched his stupidity "Hey bro, what's the most you're willing to pay for this book?"
  16. I received an acknowledgement of my submitted grades with a . On the surface I would take this as a positive however I now believe it's just psychological warfare...
  17. Thought I saw a fairly long crease on the back left cover too. I got killed this round.
  18. FTR sent my grades in at noon yesterday and have not received the usual satirical emoji from you or grades recorded confirm.
  19. Thanks William. Adding to the Planet run, several of which have been provided by this fine gent @Ricksneatstuff
