  7. i saw those lots too and have paid attention to cards-n-comics because of their location (possible 35 cent Marvel price variant indirect source) They hve nice books, but IMO do not undergrade enough to warrant "betting" the money you piad for the 4 lots I was going for 2 specifically and the bid history will tell you what I thought was a decent price paid for the lot vs. what I thought I could flip them for in the market today. Keep in mind that we came off of Halloween where the ebay market was just FLOODED with HOMs, HOs, Ghosts, Unexpected, horror CRIZZAP up the wazoo - while great for fillers, not worthwhile to the HG chasers who pay big bucks for the slabbed copies. So I guess it depends on who you want to cater to? The reason they were in lots is that those books sell best in lots unless you individualize and set a NM or CGC 9.4 next to it
  8. dc comics presents superman and adam strange 3
  9. James - sorry about the Cards... Logan is doing just fine! Here are some of the latest pics...tok a trip to a local pumpkin farm with his playgroup buddies. http://pumpkinfarm.darthdiesel.com/ what you are doing with that Whitman list is great. Makes it easier for variant collectors. I remember talking about these with you a while back. There are several enthusiasts on this board and as long as you don't get psycho premiums paid for these books, you'll be able to keep some variant haters off your back. I'lldo what I can to help. I'm unloadnig the majority of my Whitmans to friendly_andy. We have a deal in place, but I'll try to scan some on here. and you won't have to do to much scan "retouching" to get them to NM ...you kill me... purple labelled scans!
  10. The response has been amazing James, I may have to break out my complete colection and scan for you
  11. It might be due to all this mess with too many PMs stored and not being able to receive/send until I trim down. I just finished that last night. I've got available Im85 FN+ IM 86 fn+ IM 87 vf/nm Im 88 fn+ IM 89 vg+
  12. and not to hog this but, check with shieldagent, metarog, and buena vista as they may have IM's they are looking to unload as well...
  13. i'll Pm you what I have - I did find some decent copies in Balto - however, I've never had any super nice copies - the Im 89 was a tough find, period, back when I needed it.
  14. increased slabbing, but not buying...limited number of collectors...
  15. Yes - I believe you can Terry! We all start with one and just build
  16. "just no CGC-worthy one?" This is the case with the blanks in my set Do you have one better than VF- ? We can take it to PM
  17. Just a heads up that the CGC registry set for 30 and 35 cent variants are up. I was pretty easy to post my set up last night during the sad Yankee game: Ultimate Variants Don't know if you can view it without logging in. But you can register as a free member to post your books into it. Would be glad to see other collectors out there or hear comments. Already got greggy's reaction to it last night. Yes they are not as nice as his "sweet sweet DCs" but I have serious doubts about ever finding some of these books in true NM shape. Sure the Superheroes are easy candidates but the obscure and reprint titles are pretty hard to come by (although Dan seems to have plenty of them in his set )based on the way they were tossed into bargain bins or reprints read again and again instead of damaging their pristine key copy from the original title.
