  1. Can't wait for us in IATSE to get absolutely nothing in our contract negotiations next year if we even get back to work by then. They need to hire whoever the teamsters get as an agent but they wont and we will cave as usual
  2. Another day of meetings with SAG and AMPTFU today with no deal. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Some of us need to get back to work already
  3. Quite a jump in price from a 5.0 to a 5.5. Guess im not upgrading my 5.0 any time soon
  4. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Sorry i had to let that out
  5. Yeah but those guys have probably never spent 1 day on set in their life, and have no idea what it really takes to get a movie made. In my almost 30 years in the film industry i have not once heard or seen the guys making film scores on set
  6. And if it was the weekend they were probably working there sixth or seventh day in a row (just to go back monday starting the beginning of the week on their 8th day) and never get to see their families. So yeah, the $202/hour is unjustified. It should actually be more.
  7. Union goons? Really? And i doubt they were making 4x wage, maybe time and a half and then double time for the holiday and 7th day.
  8. I wouldn't call it a staff but there should always be a shop medic. It's the most dangerous part of the whole show being around saws all the time.
  9. It left out Assistant art directors, Key shop electric and construction grips under art. And thank god it left out all the 50 different positions of covid coordinators and assistants because they were all dropped before the strike.
  10. Yeah my union is not on strike but cant do anything without the actors and writers, everything was shut down. Im in good shape, strike sucks but its not killing me, my crew on the other hand its hurting. Summer off was nice (i just had a house built and moved so the time off helped, the no paycheck didnt though), but its time to go back to work already
  11. Yeah basically we are out of work at no fault of our own. Most of us are collecting unemployment
  12. They've came to an agreement. Now lets get SAG back to the table, us IATSE need to get back to work
  13. Let's get this done with, i havent worked on a show since June, and as much as i liked the summer off it;s time to go back to work
  14. Ha that's great, i know Thomas, we are in the same union. And I totally agree with him
  15. Every day at work (when we had work) i see 50-75 extras all hoping to make it one day. They have big dreams and hope to get noticed to hopefully get at least a speaking line in something during the next tryout. Thinking they would want to sign this all away is ludicrous. And this has to end soon, i havent worked since mid June!
  16. Hopefully something happens soon, as an IATSE member i've been out of work since mid-June. Kinda liked the summer vacation but this needs to end
  17. Is it just me or does the back button not work on this site anymore?
  18. This box now resides with someone else from the board. Enjoy!
  19. I reposted this in the Mixed Age sales thread in case anyone is interested. It's free.
  20. I think this is the appropriate forum for this. I am giving this custom comic book cabinet away. I no longer need it as i am moving and my new house has a closet for them. It stores 25 long boxes or 50 short boxes. Sides are built out of 1" birch plywood with 3/4" supported shelves with 5/4" cleats. It is screwed together and is easy to assemble and disassemble (this is the 3rd house ive had it in and i've assembled it by myself each time.) FIts easily in a pickup truck. It is located in Nutley NJ (about 5 minutes from Metlife Stadium). Kicker is that i only have a very short time to get rid of this, between August 10-15 as i have to be out of the house by the 15th but cant get into the new one until the 10th. I would hate to throw this out as I built it myself in 2008 but i have no use for it in my new house. If anyone is interested in this free cabinet please message me. Oh and i forgot to mention that it locks so no one can steal your stuff..lol
  21. Zapp Comics in Wayne NJ (not far from NY) has a great selection of back issues also
