  1. Made a deal for one of the Black & White Luke covers
  2. If he sold them to fans on his site first and sold out, he shouldnt have copies to sell at a con later on. Period. Technical problem, or not, youre holding on to copies - fulfill your orders to your fans and ship those first before making a premium. End of story +1 Thank you for this post. I agree. When did he receive that e-mail? If it was prior to selling out at the Con, then yup, that's shiesty.
  3. Actually, that's another weird thing. I never emailed them at all. I really hope they work something out for you. I would send them an e-mail explaining that you paid several days before that, and would like to know if they can explain why there records show the date they do.
  4. IF that's what happened (there's no reason to assume that what's going on as of now), then that would certainly be shady and deserving of backlash.
  5. Yuup. This could get real screwy real fast. I bought several, but I'm not stressing. Either I'll get them or I wont. Worse part would be the mess I'd catch from pre order buyers, but that's a risk I was aware of when I sold them. As far as his price at C2E2 goes, imho, there was nothing wrong with him jacking up the price (and I had someone pick me up a few copies for S.S. so I paid the inflated price myself). I was under the impression that he just intended to sell some of them at C2E2, not that they were supposed to be an "exclusive". If that is the case, and this was just the equivalent of a shop variant, then I don't think anyone should throw shade about his pricing, especially if what he had at the show sold out. Now, if he was rude to Kap, that's a separate issue entirely, and I don't blame him for having a bad taste in his mouth.
  6. That's what I was thinking. There is no way the website showed 3,000 remaining on 4/13, unless there was a technical error.
  7. Thinking that's not gonna be easy to get.
  8. False alarm It was just boring regular mail.
  9. Pretty sure my books arrived today I have boxes at the house and haven't ordered anything else recently.
  10. Turns out the artist lives about an hour away from me and I was able to snag one today. They're gorgeous in hand. It's off to CGC for grading. Awesome!
  11. Yea, the price has been inching up everyday. I don't think it will keep doing so after the C2E2. Now the first couple of slabs to hit eBay will likely get silly.
  12. I don't have any options as far as LCS. There is 1 in town, and the most I've ever seen him order of a single book is 3. So it's all online for me. Luckily I preordered some of these and #5 a while back. I'm going to be knee deep in these covers before its all said and done.
  13. I've got 1 slabbed 9.8, and 2 solid 9.8 candidates. Of all the Enormous books that have gone through my hands, the Hastings is the toughest to find in 9.8.
  14. Good News! As far as Star Wars goes...I'll buy every one they put out. I plan on picking up the first round of Secret Wars as well, but with all the little spinoff titles, it could get exhausting to pick them all up if every number has them for every series.
  15. That is an awesome cover!
  16. For that exact reason. Maybe he didn't know it was movie cover swipe month. I'm aware. The cover is just not good, IMO. They could have picked a better movie, too. +1 I don't like it either....and The Mask was one of my favorite movies as a small child.
  17. I missed all the Friday thread action....
  18. Only 3, I think. Everything I've seen solicits covers A, B & C. +1 That's what I have seen as well.
  19. That's a good one. Thanks for sharing!
