  1. I grew up in the time of Moore. He was great as The Saint but not so as Bond. Connery was the best until Craig entered the scene. (and he was blonde-OMG !) As a huge fan of Remington Steele I so wanted Pierce to be the second best Bond but that was not to be for me....my list : 1. Craig 2. Connery 3. Dalton 4. Brosnan 5. Moore 6. Lazenby (IN all fairness Lazenby only had the one flick so it's hard to gauge--especially following up King Connery at the time)
  2. Not sure how platform limitations keep you from previewing comic books a month early as opposed to the day before ? That makes as much sense to me as Ken Goldin having a comb with all its teeth.........
  3. Here's a couple guesses . Goldin doesn't know what it is doing when it comics books...... or most likely they have no books currently to auction because no one in their right mind would give them a book to hock without a back room deal this early in the ball game
  4. Thanks for letting us know your "young". Actually with the above response we kind of figured that out n our own. When's the next auction and what are you able to share in regards to an advanced look ?
  5. The Comic Book Consignment Director for Goldin Auctions has been collecting funny books for less than 8 years ? No offense to Dom is right but that shows me how serious Goldin is about making themselves a player in our hobby.
  6. Less. I don't think the Promise Pedigree will make a difference at all
  7. Looks decent. There are too many Bat 1's in circulation. Takes all the fun out of this historic book IMO. Is that a second Cap 1 Promise Book up for auction or is it the one from the first auction relished ? (another mega key with too many in circulation)
  8. A coverless copy of Supes 1 went for over 50k?? That seems insane. 25k for a Coverless Cupes, Bats, or MC 1 seems appropriate these days (maybe a Cap 1 )---it wasn't too long ago that you could have for around 10-12k
  9. I've spoken to them personally. I am against it as enticing at it is. They appear to know nothing about comics (let a lone how to store them) and to date they haven't shown a picture of the "real" vault. I would only consider letting them vault slabbed trading cards
  10. Next pieces at auction will tell a lot I think what direction this is heading. How did the video games fare post all the WATA talk ?
  11. I think there were 3 prints of Supes 1 if memory serves
  12. Damn. If a 1.0 Supes 1 that looked like that one went for 150k what would a Ten 27 or Action 1 1.o go for ? I'm guessing 200k is the basement
  13. Yeah Im at a loss. Not sure who is the #3. MC 1 or Supes 1. I wouldn't be surprised if a MC 1 1.0 went for 150k Any recent data to contradict that ?
  14. I think the bigger than Bats story here is the Supes 1 copy at 146k. Poor eye appeal. Crazy strong price for any 1.0
  15. For some reason I can't deal with reglossed cover or lightened pages. However, in this case I would make an exception
  16. I would only send them trading cards. I have no reason to think they know anything about storing comic books. Plus they haven't even put up a picture of the REAL vault.
  17. In speaking with them they really don't understand those hobbies it seems to me. Maybe over time they will but it's too early to send anything to them without data. Also, Im not sure the eyes that follow Goldin are interested in comics (or investing in them).
