    Was in Newark the other day and stopped by their shop. Mike, Ming, and Walt were there. Ming went out of his way to say hi to a new customer. Went in hoping to buy something but Nothing really of interest to me. ....was still cool to see the shop the way it looks on TV with the guys working there

    I think that was the one in FL for $110k? Was you AC 1 pages the ones where someone stapled them together 3 x and you can see the 3 staple marks where the pages were torn apart ? What 's the going rate on those pages today?? (I realize this is an AF 15 forum but since it was brought up and commented on before.......)

    My Marvel Grail was a Cap 1 If it was a MC 1 I assume I would want the October copy regardless of what the CGC label or other respected enthusiasts say about the Nov copy. I'm just glad Cap 1's initial print run was all at once and they were more available. It was hard enough to get a universal copy when I entered the market looking for one

    Love this thread! My cousin, HYMIE Epstein, was awarded the Purple Heart in World War II There was a one or two page, about him called real heroes I believe I had a copy in the 70s and then ended up giving it back to his parents Would love to find one again

    It doesn't appear so. I think a couple reached out to the individual selling the FFE SC 1 and they added it to the description that they were told it was a reprint. Still at 3k last time I looked.

    Seems like 8k can get you a couple of coverless copies on the market. I remember a few years ago a boardy who exhibits at the cons had one for 12 k. It was for sale for quite a bit then I just lost track of it. marvel 1 and Tec 1 have seen better days. I think these r two books that need their covers to sell at the asking prices these days

    The last pic he has is my crappy old 3.0 universal copy. Not sure why he has it or where he got it. I know Metropolis had it once but kept in the holder. I didn't see where he mentioned reprint lately. Must have missed it.

    whomever on here said the margins were too wide I think was spot on. I just looked at an original page #5 (cover swipe) that I own to compare and they don't match up in the pics. I guess there could be some manufacturing differences but I'm doubtful wish this was the real deal or someone could come up with a convincing argument that it was.....

    I absolutely love this cover. The only thing I could do without is Bucky. I think the colors and header are fantastic and the drawing of CAP & Hitler is head and shoulders above Cap #2 . Love me some original shield too in the fore front. Love the ears they gave Hitler too. This is a mega key that I would have to have the cover to feel my book was complete

    I've used AF 15's to supply my golden age first appearance Hero habit . It's the book I've always wanted and now I don't even know how many I've flipped over the years (which makes me sad actually) Just sold a low grade copy last week

    anyone have any idea why CGC puts "Wonder Woman begins" on the SC 1 label? That "title" is not anywhere that I can see in the story. I'm surprised they don't mention her first cover appearance instead

    I was in the Middle East recently and Captain America showed up in Israel . However, outside of Cap I only saw Supes, bats, and Spidey. It would be nice if these elementary school kids wearing all this Cap garb these days would correlate to the newest generation of comic collector
