I agree with everything you wrote actually. To be more succinct I can't push the joker ( Cat woman is secondary here to me ) past Cap's 1st appearance with such a classic cover ( however I give the classic cover nod to Bats 1 here for my $ ). But using your own argument ( which I agree with ) is exactly why Tec 38 should be higher ranked than Bats 1 ( not even talking about availability here which also wud give the nod to Robin)

I've said it before and I'll say it again ( cuz I like sayin it Bats 1 is the 4th most impt Bats book IMO after 27,38, & 33. Cover helps it a lot though I think.

I don't think you can compare Supes to the FF. Supes has and is very much part of popular culture world wide. I just don't see Bats 1 or Cap 1 passing Supes 1 secondary to rarity of the book. The Tec 27 debate is different but action 1 continues to win every head to head battle with not a loss that I am aware of. You'd think it wud have happened by now let alone a decade from now as Supes is rebooted alongside grumpy Bats.

I know this topic has been around the block before but I haven't seen any new conversation in a while . How many copies do people think exist ? I seem to remember a lot of votes for around 5000? I know there are those in the 10,000 camp as well

I also thought the opening scene was clunky and the CGI with Spidey reminded me of the SPider man movie from 2002. you'd think 15 years later it wouldn't be so noticeable. enjoyed Holland, Zendaya, and Ned Leeds as well.

I saw it last night. Disappointed overall however there were moments where I thought it was pure genius (maybe 20 minutes total throughout the movie) Seems to me that what I didn't like was marvel's influence and Watts (the director) had a real cool kid movie approach that would have worked better (for me) throughout the entire flick (much like what they did with Deadpool for adults) Holland is great. Keaton aint bad. Tomei and Downey Jr over act and Downey is starting to finally look long in the tooth--too old to play the part that he owns. They have some great easter eggs and omage (sp?) to the early and late comics throughout but I still think they haven't gotten it right . They 've come along way since Nicholas Hammond in 1977 but aren't there yet IMO. That said Im going to go back (and give them more money) to give it another shot--Ive changed my mind before

Tec 38 ? Got me thinking. I don't see a lot but used to see at least one at a con per show and 1 on eBay. Just saw a nice 3.5 at Age of comics. Ps I ordered the indexes !
