  1. Is that a "wow, that's a high sale " YIKES or "wow, that's low " YIKES
  2. Metropolis puts in writing, “there are less than 100 copies of Action 1 out there “. Just thought it was interesting to see in writing from them and would add this to our discussion.
  3. Wow. Good coin for a coverless. Sounds about right too. Most recent sale I know of is 10k missing back cover and centerfold.
  4. It'as a great and important book that will do well (ie break the 6 figure threshold ) o doubt I was just curious as to why no chatter on the boards about a 6 figure book. I guess we aren't talking about he action 1 , tec 27, or cap 1 in the same auction. I just get the sense that the excitement for that book and its scarcity in the past has died down quite a bit.
  5. have things died down the last 3 1/2 years or so on this book? (still far above I'm sure where it was in 2014 I would gather) . No noise here on the boards about the 8.0 up for auction. 4 years ago I assumed there be more squawking ??
  6. Page 1 (Origin Page) which is arguably the better page ? Already up to 12k on CC with 3 weeks + left to go
  7. Anyone hear or see the pictures of the 2 Action 1's that were apparently found in a barn outside Kirkland , Texas? Barn was apparently ownerless since 1955. Inside the barn were some trunks with some WW II era Army greens and what appeared to be 2 low grade copies of Action 1. I'm skeptical but intrigued. I guess the pics were posted on Facebook if anyone has them to post here.......
  8. I’ll overpay for it right now probably. Awaiting a PM from the current owner
  9. After I posted it I thought maybe I was quite a bit off 25k-30k was my second thought
  10. No, I don't think it's decent. I'd agree with you $2500 for a cover like that.
  11. https://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=300107 50k ? More ?? such a cool piece. Anyine know who / if a boardie owns it ?
  12. Saw this before the thread. Thought that was what the OP was getting at. I would think 5k for a unrestored decent cover is reasonable
  13. I can't believe that money is an issue. He's an excutive producer on all these MCU flicks. I assume he does it it for the interaction first and formeost
  14. Whom do you use. I’ve found collectiables insurance to be too expensive for my taste once you hit 6 figures. on the other hand proving appraisal on a ever changing market is tough for home owners insurance
  15. I asked this elsewhere but since we r on the topic ......what do you do for insurance with books you keep in a safe deposit box ?
  16. What’s the sellers premium these days? Still 10% ?
  17. Only 30 days to go plus extended bidding ! See you in a month !! #forever
