Soon after bob storm had a 3.0 go for 36 k I believe. This book is so undervalued still imo it makes my head spin. 3rd most impt bat book imo.

Exhibitor List is lacking MANY GA vendors from years past Not coming this year or website just not up to date ??

Thanks Spyder for the “real life “ example. I’m guessing others can provide examples to contradict that as we can all point to inconsistencies with grading at times. I really appreciate the example though of a book in your possession. Opinions with or without examples still wanted. Will update the thread once I get the book back

You know the book well Woo-Woo it took me 8 months to realize it came with a back cover. I have a GA book that was bound at one time and presents with the following: --Binder holes along the spine side of the pages --Outer edge trimmed to fit in volume (some right up to artwork however AW is not affected) -- Each page has been separated -- No CF or FC --Most of Back cover is present Opinions as to how this COULD POTENTIALLY grade out between a NG and a 0.5 ? I wouldn't ask if the back cover was not present Thanks everyone

The 3.0 Qualified on Metro's site is really nice IMO (if it's still there ?) I love the eye appeal on the front cover personally. At one time they told me the minimum they would take but I don't recall

I think true first appearance trumps first SA appearance in almost every case as well but when it comes to comparing Cap to DD and what Cap meant to Marvel in the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 2 000's and now the movies I don't think there is a comparison. As far as covers go the Avengers 4 cover is considered Iconic based on the multiple cover swipes drawn from it paying homage to A4. I like how Daredevil section looks on the cover of DD 1 but when you have SPidey and the FF on there it takes away from the cover IMO.. That being said it is a very impt book for Marvel

Disagree on that one wholeheartedly. First SA Cap. World known thanks to the MCU. Iconic cover. Not a DD fan but appreciate his place as a second tier hero. Before the MCU I had iron man with him tier wise. The DD 1 cover cud have been so much better imo if they weren’t trying to promote their book via their other successes.

Forgot about this auction. It’s made massive gains since I last looked. Interested to see where it hammers. Thanks Peter

Any dealers on the boards see this spike coming ? Quite the increase pp in the low grades from what I remember. Certainly worth it comparatively and I hope it as staying power. Love me some FF
