  6. bluechip, For myself, I prefer to buy the finished pencil drawing as it shows the creative juices that flowed from the artist's pencil onto the white paper. Also because I am on a budget, the asking price for the finished pencil is usually about 1/2 of the inked cover drawing as the fact that the finished cover was lightboxed is usually left out of any auction listing or online art catalog description.
  7. I bought this MOKF for the great P Gulacy interior artwork. 10p yellow starburst. I like how they spelled "All-colour" using the Queen's English.

  10. How about GA related original art stat Whiz 2 (#1) 1974 Famous First Edition for a mere $200? Roughly 11 x 17 inches on thick artboard in vf 8.0. There is white out over the words Gangway for Capt Marvel.
  11. I agree with Chris. There is fresh $ in the market for original comic art. I was going to set a buy it now of $4k on my Marshall Rogers Batman art on eBay last week. It hit $5,100 from a new player in the art market. He remitted via PayPal right away. No cashflow problem there.
  12. I have some late 70s Bruce Lee mags, Kato mib toy from Kaybee Toys, & 1 or 2 Bruce Lee English 1 sheet posters. Last month, I started collecting 2 page b/w illustrated tear sheets/etchings from 1840s graphic illustrated UK or Canadian newspapers. Have 1 of Little Red Riding Hood that is about 140 years old.

  14. I have a coverless copy of True Comics circa 1946 that has page 1 title splash & 1st chapter about the history of Hitler. Don't know issue # though.
  15. Here's the biggest comic Annual ever printed in Australia. About 148 pgs of which 1st 48 are b/w Blackhawk. Published around 1968 as the Curt Swan cover is from Superman 201 (Nov, 1967). Note cover layout is like Romita's Amaz Spidey # 50 (July, 1967).

  18. I have several 1950s Dell Little Iodine & Four Color I Love Lucy comics w/ the 50 Ore stamp on front cover. I'm up in Western Canada.
  19. Some of the early Creepy/Eerie around #13 (?) had great interior b/w Ditko art with washtones for extra depth.
