  1. The 1st and BEST Joker splash page from Batman #1:
  2. Is that your DC comic collecting order of priority? Yes, that was my DC priority list from 16 years ago. Now I primarily collect GA DC 1937 to 1940 only. Need some thrashed copies of pre-hero Detectives and Action #1 still.
  3. After you collect the SA Superman family of comics, there is not much $$ left for World's Finest: 1. Action 2. Superman 3. Adventure/Legion, Superboy 4. Superboy 5. Lois Lane 6. Jimmy Olsen 7. Detective 8. Batman 9. Flash 10. SA Green Lantern
  4. Is that officially licensed Lone Ranger duck-on-a-rope? It is hilariously collectible.
  5. Kudos to gatorRick for being a true collector of scarce pre-Timely Centaur (copyright pending). (thumbs u
  6. 1. Lex Luthor 2. Joker 3. Fu Manchu 4. Red Skull
  7. Nah, he could not make enough on the merchandising residuals with those shrewd Japanese negotiators, so greggy signed up with George Lucas's Star Wars Episode 0: secret super origin of Darth-greggy Triumphant (TM pending).
  8. Just be thankful you were'nt greggy'd.... Crikey, greggy is a: noun, pronoun, adjective and now a verb. So famous, he already has a wikipedia listing, " when Jimmy met Greggy" -- not that there is anything wrong with that....
  9. The master and servant deluxe Wizard World exclusive greggy9000 variant will cost extra.
  10. greggy9000 is for adults. We need something for the kids. Crikey, what's next, Optimus greggy? Until then, I will continue writing my screenplay for Greggy and Greggy-er . It is about the misadventures of 2 bumbling fools traveling across USA from Wizard World to Comic-con 2008. Either straight to dvd or straight to downloadable podcast.
  11. Would you like clothing with that bulk order? The basic model is the nudie variant to keep down the cost of shipping. I don't think any fellow Canuck will dishonor themselves by blowing up the prototype at the Baltimore Comicon forum dinner even if proceeds went to HERO charity.
  12. This thread is hilarious and offensive in too many ways! Who is going to blow up the prototype? not my lips.
  13. I endorse seasonal greggy9000 clothing line: NYC, Wondercon, SDCC, Chicago, Baltimore. Neatly packaged into a long box for std discount shipping direct to your door. We accept PayPal. Hit the Buy it Now, fanboy. Need to get the deathlok2008 action figure into production right away, so greggy9000 can use the tea & biscuit play set.
  14. flee, Your customers will keep on coming back for the greggy accessories: strappy heels, purses, knapsacks, micro hot pants with matching Giant-sized Man-thong. eeeewwww. website domain name already copyright by flee.
  15. The life size bendable Wonder Woman costume option costs extra. Golden bondage lasso included when you buy 2 greggy-9000's. 1 to use right away; other to keep Mint in your closet away from your spouse. flee, Since the raw digital pic for this gag is from my digital camera, I will glady take a 50% copyright usage fee for each subserviant action figure sold. PayPal is OK.
  16. From an issue of Wonder Woman with Wonder Girl. I bent the spine to get u this pic:
  17. rob, The Detect #65 is a reader because some nut trimmed 1/4 inch from right edge. Top edge looks ok when u compare to 2 copies for sale on cLink now. Still has sharp colors for pre-WW II comic that was not recycled or burnt for the war effort.
  18. Markav, The comic book database has a Detective 64 cover that looks like Simon & Kirby. Per Ostreet, #65 cover was layed out by Kirby but inked by the 3 other artists (Joe Simon, Bob Kane?). Awesome interior by S&K: Hitler, swastikas, Nostradamos, layout for the Boy Commandos #1 cover in a panel, etc.
  19. I have not had a chance to read this long thread, so not sure if this 1942 low grade, reading copy of Detective #65 Simon and KIRBY cover has been posted. O sage ones, was there ever another GA Batman or Detective comic cover by the titanic team up of Simon and Kirby?
  20. Best Detective 1 I've seen. Pic is circa 1976:
  21. I just hope Stv Ritter's GA Pedigree book has BIG pics like Richard O'Brien's 1977 The GA of Comic Books book. Here is a sample that was NOT from the bangzoom collection:
  22. bangzoom, Thank u for being so generous in sharing your outstanding collection. I would like to know if u also branched out into collecting original comic book or comic strip artwork (e.g. Alex Raymond Flash Gordon, Burne Hogarth Tarzan, Hal Foster Prince Valiant, Wally Wood EC, or undergound comix art, Disney animation cels with original painted backgrounds)?
  23. Suspense comics 3 (Continental) will sell all day long in g/vg because it is more affordable than a vf 8.0 or better unrestored copy. Don't think that many collectors want to shell out say $55k ++ for what is essentially a 1-shot semi-key book.
  24. Tell me about it. He is the completists completist. not exactly; you know i reject the two canadian annuals and mpfw. Not sure why u are rejecting both Canadian b/w Timely annuals. 1 of them (think it was Marvel Mystery) was actually printed in USA. Can't remember which though: either Capt America b/w 1942 or Marvel Mystery b/w 1944.
