  1. Low grade copy that doen't even have any color inside. Seems to have been primarily distributed in Canada even though printed in USA 1944.
  2. No killer Bok Choy in this 12c Marvel price Variant:
  3. Here's 1 of the earliest Marvel (hand-written issue #) variants from way back in 1962:
  4. If u have time to browse your old TBG/CBG ads, let us know if u come across any pics of Dupcak/Fantazia/Moses.
  5. Original comic book art, used DVDs or movie videos. Now what am I gonna do with my laser disc player?
  6. Wow, thanks for sharing all those early Lou Fine covers. Hardly ever see them from circa 1940.
  7. I like Centaurs & almost anything drawn by Mac Raboy:
  8. Amazing-Man #5 (1st issue Centaur) pre-cursor to Timely Marvel Comics #1? Ostreet states issues #1-4 were Motion Pictures Funnies (1st Everett Sub-mariner 8 pgs.). #5 has origin of Amazing-Man by Everett & Iron Skull android by Carl Burgos. Burgos went on to draw his 2nd android creation the Human Torch 1 month later in Marvel #1 (1939). If u squint, u can read A-man's origin:
  9. On weekends, I like to crack open some comics & actually read them. Detect #39.
  10. FYI, Noticed that the Capt Action & Action boy premium comic I recently sold u was also on the DC Comics Library archive's want list from an old late 80s ad in The Buyer's Guide. Good luck in your quest for all DCs.
  11. Tom Palmer did a great job inking N Adams' X-men. Also enjoyed Giordano's inking on Bat/Detect but u are right in that pure N Adams pencils & inks on the Batman 100 pager vs Werewolf were outstanding.
  12. Seems like unrestored semi-keys like Detect 29 & Action 7 are selling very strong at double condition Ostreet. Tec 29 cgc g/vg blue label is already at $8,338 after the bump. Another 2 days to go at Heritage auction.
  13. I think the colorist forgot to color in Batman's gloves in Tec #28. Ony the 2nd appearance, they did not know his complete costume yet.
  14. I was reading my Detect 28 yesterday. Raw, very low grade by Bob Kane.
  15. I would say anywhere from 2-5%. I had a fellow collector flip a coverless copy of ASM #5 last year for me that fetched over $50. Ostreet good is about $135 which means your client paid 37% of the "good" valuation. That is relatively high but Spidey & Dr Doom are more popular than coverless GA Batman/Superman which seem to be selling for about 20% of good.
  16. If a Detect 27 is bumped up from a fr incomplete to good (married), the rise should be more than $3k retail.
  17. No, I would only charge $9k for my cgc 0.5 Detect 27 including the back cover. Call it my forum members only "discount".
  18. What % of the Ostreet good price do u think is reasonable to pay for a coverless GA comic complete w/ 1st wrap & centerfold? Say, a non-key issue like Action #25 with off-wht pgs?
  19. Illustration-House on the East coast sometimes auctions off Schombourg Timely cover painting recreations from the 70s. Think they are over $10k each now.
  20. Banner, There was a large 2 x 3 ft. poster made of the classic Capt Amer #37 Schombourg cover. Part of a series of 3 Timely posters (All Winners, Human Torch) issued around the mid-80s. Makes a great display.
  21. Crikey, that pre-Code cover is quite disturbing! Still it is a hi-# scarce Atlas with nice Maneely interior art.
  22. Excellent point as 3 of my top Cgc SA Marvel bidders 2 weeks ago were from UK & my FF 1 Cgc is on its way to Australia soon.
  23. Why is Bucky grinning so much while been bound by chains?
