Also your name and address, because Paradise would need to have submitted it under your name at least in order for cgc to respond to you. The easiest thing to do is call cgc, say can I get an invoice # look-up, give them your invoice #'s, and when they ask, give them your name..... They need all this in order justify giving you information.... the email is a little vague with no "real" info.... @Zevgoli
My name is on the email.

Don't want to harp on you, but that's a pretty lousy e-mail. I see a good chance they just respond with, "please contact Paradise to work this out". I read "last July for San Diego Comic Con", and I personally would think July 2017 to March 2018...with show return times, heavy summer volume, processing, if they were pressed and slow track Modern...yeah its excessive, but maybe possibly might be somewhat explainable.
Details details details = better results. Specify the following in any correspondence with CGC:
- The actual date(s) books were dropped off with Paradise
- Every single book that was dropped off (title, issue number, previously slabbed or not)
- Who was supposed to sign them (if they were SS)
- What tier they were submitted under
- Pressing or no?
- The CGC invoice number(s)The invoice numbers are part of the thread.

I have replied to CGC with the following:
Hi,I submitted these books through Paradise Comics in Toronto. They were submitted last July for San Diego comic con. I have been trying to get a status on these books for weeks but Paradise has not been forthcoming with this information. There currently is a thread on the CGC boards outlining the frustration some of us are facing over getting our books back in a timely manner from Paradise. That is why I am writing to you directly to get a status on these invoices. It has been very stressful and frustrating dealing with Paradise. This should be brought up with a Senior Manager to try and address CGC customer frustration over Paradise. -

Also, do you have your invoice numbers?
Yes I do.

CGC just told me the same thing to contact Paradise for more information. Hopefully I will hear back from Peter today.

I am going to guess that it goes something like this...
"I have the invoice here and have checked with cgc; they are on top of it now and you should have your book shortly, hopefully by next blahblahday."
I certainly hope this is the case.

I heard back from Peter. He will check the invoices tomorrow. BTW I don’t think he lives above the store.

So he's the owner but doesn't spend any time there? And he's the only one with access to the information his customers need?
You're being far too patient.
I think Peter is the only one there who can actually do something. I don’t have any faith in Jeff the manager. I could probably get the status of my books but that is all I would get from him. Another thing is that I live an hour away from the store so just to keep popping in is not a viable option unless I see Peter.

So, am I missing something or has no one called or visited the store and demanded the CGC invoice number for their books yet?
The problem with visiting the store is making sure you see Peter the owner. He is not there everyday and when he is there he is not usually there for long. Seeing anyone else is a waste of time.

I have just emailed Peter hoping to get on this gravy train of positive energy. Will let you know what happens

I would give them a couple of days.

I still think they will be going out of business.

I have two invoices outstanding both from San Diego last year. One is 3 books signed by Stan the other is 11 books signed by Neal Adams. The weird thing is that several weeks ago I got 2 books back signed by Neal. So the books are at CGC. Why the rest aren’t showing up is beyond me.
-
Well it’s been over another week and I have heard nothing back. I emailed Kristina who supposedly is in charge on Saturday as to where are the books. Nothing. How’s everyone else doing?
-
The reason why they put “CGC it” in their listings is to catch the crowd that type that in for a search. Like Stan Lee CGC.
-
Why do you think these signatures are fake? They look good to me.
-
Nope. Definitely Stan on top of John
-
I’m wondering if I should get my Steve Ditko letter slabbed. It’s a good idea.
-
Just to summarize, I have 14 books outstanding from San Diego CC. So eight months so far.

Alls quiet on the Paradise front with me. Anyone else heard anything?

I got an email from Kristina at Paradise a couple of days ago following up on my outstanding invoices. So something is happening.
Cheers, Howard
Is a year too long for my book to be delivered from Paradise Comics?
